It's really hard to miss a free throw deliberately without committing a violation. One reason why the smart defensive play is to foul when up three in waning seconds.

We mount very effective defense by working our asses off. But still unable to cover our totally pathetic offense.

36 seconds left, Loyola ball down by 2. We have forced turnovers on (I believe) their last 3 possessions. They throw a wild pass down the court, look like they are out of control, and then we immediately foul their best free throw shooter (shooting 87% for the year) without taking any time to try and force a turnover, or at least foul a worse FT shooter. Horrible situational basketball --------------- Loyola shot 56.5% on 2FG's. We need a serious overhaul to this defense that is being held together by scotch tape. I think we were trying to trap there and the ref blew a quick whistle on PB as Loyola was trying to get a timeout.

t o killed us in first half...didn't get shots we wanted...foul trouble hurt, Karl..baseline defense hurt, especially Matt...too many easy baskets for LU....mixed up our defenses...need more offense, need 10 3's...they were scoring e z around basketball

If you watch closely LeSann is not good on defense. I think that Ziggy plays better D.

Karl Charles doesn't help us when he spends half the game on the bench. Really needs to figure out how to keep himself out of foul trouble and in the game.
Holy Cross committed a season-high 21 fouls, and Loyola made more FT's than we attempted. A big part of the reason we lost tonight.

We have no bench and at least two starters each night under perform. The PO with this roster is horrible to watch. It does nothing. The defense in the middle of court causes TO's but we send our tiny guards flailing out at shooters and it looks comical.

FInal score: Andrew Kostecka 20 HC Frosh, Sophs and Juniors 19 Was he wanted here or did he commit to CMB and not HC? Kostecka said he de-committed because Brown got fired. This happens all the time, don't know any reason why we shouldn't take him at his word.

I don't follow the recruiting threads much, so didn't know if Carm tried to re-recruit him or decided to move in a different direction.

Final score: Andrew Kostecka 20 HC Frosh, Sophs and Juniors 19 There was no such score. Can you go peddle your agenda somewhere else. It only seems to appear after a loss. When HC beat teams starting freshmen (and they played poorly) not a peep was heard. Kosteka is a good ball player. That was why HC wanted him. If e would have had to have MB stay to get him, it clearly would not have been worth it, IMHO.

Think he decomitted in summer not right after Brown was fired, he was hurt a good part of junior year and my guess would be that Carmody was not unhappy that he decomitted thinking he could do better. As things turned out obviously that didn't happen and here we are.

Coach Smith at halftime said he knew Andrew would have a big game tonight as he committed to Holy Cross and then the coaching staff was let go .

The league (for basketball) is just so bad now....I'm just impressed that many of you still follow this.
Nearly no one really cares....alumni, students, general public etc....not sure HC will evah get out of this death-spiral.
