And things seem to have changed even in the era of the Patriot League. The 92-93 HC home schedule included Hart games against Rutgers, Northwestern and BC.

You will never get a big program team into the Hart Center due to the small seating. Teams do not want to play in a high school type arena. It is possible for big program teams to come to the DCU Center with a 2 for 1 set up just like the Umass series. The improvements will probably help in recruiting with better locker rooms, and team meeting rooms but will not help in scheduling better games in the Hart Center. Over the past decade, Michigan, Colorado, and Houston have played Harvard @ Lavietes, which seats 2,000. Even BC plays at Lavietes. Michigan State (then ranked #1) played Northeastern at Matthews last year. A 'problem' with these type of schools playing HC in Worcester, let alone the Hart, is their small alumni base in Greater Worcester.

imho Two-for-one with UMass is being touted on the Board as a God-send. Maybe we should have DJT examine the “deal.” Two away games and a neutral site game hardly a boon to our scheduling problems. Doubt BC would have scheduled this. Thank you, adnp. I suspect we scheduled the “home” game this year because our brain trust thinks we have a shot with our senior-laden team.

Brought back as a comparison to the URI series which is essentially the same terms.
Holy Cross hosted UMass at the DCU Center on Sunday 11/20/16. A crowd of 3,591 was on hand to watch UMass prevail 66-60 in a battle of MA schools.
