While waiting for winter this morning, ............
HC bought the HoJo's property for $1.8 million in 1997.

858 Southbridge (abuts the west bound of HC's property line). Not necessary to square off parcels. HC probably not interested.
32 Caro
If HC bought this, this parcel would square off HC's north-side-of Caro street properties with its Southbridge St land.
38 Caro
38 Caro was sold in 2016. HC presumably had no interest. Bought by a real estate investment firm in Boston, likely on behalf of a Florida-based REIT. HC buying this property would not square off anything.
10 Clay
This house on Clay St abuts HC's property on Clay St. HC need not buy it to square off its Clay St property with its property on Southbridge St. There may be a HC affiliation with the owner.
The same REIT that bought 38 Caro also bought numerous properties on Clay, Boyden, and upper College (south of Boyden) under the names of Holy Chestnut LLC and Trembley Chestnut LLC. Most of these properties, but not 38 Caro, were bought from a Paul Giorgio, who liked to climb very tall mountains.
34 College
HC owns all the west side of College from College Sq up to and including this house. As the house is on the National Register of Historic Places, it would be hard to demolish.
50 College
HC does not own this house, which is on the south side of Clay.
62 College
Holy Cross owns 62 College.
If HC were to buy 50, 52, 54, and 64 College, and two properties on the south side of Clay, and 32 Caro, and five properties on the south side of Caro, it could square off its Southbridge St parcels all the way up the hill to the road leading into Wheeler from College. The six Caro St properties are owned by two entities, one of whom has a HC connection.
If it were to buy 68 College, it would then also own all of the west side of College past Boyden. The house below is 88 College, opposite City View, and is owned by HC.
