Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere - Brown from Bethlehem Catholic, Matt Husek's alma mater.

Bill G had a recruit on campus during reunion weekend last week. I do not know if it was Brown.

Funny that the team they played in that Higlight was our other commit Demski's team.

yes, let's keep this on the women's recruiting here. I'm more interested in knowing what the grades are on both of your 2018 recruits. we are a '2nd division team' in a very weak league. I think we can expect our latest recruits to be improvements over our present talent.
anyone know who we were competing against for these recruits ?

Me too. Sometimes you just have to wonder how a kid can make a comment like that. Is it willful ignorance? Did our coaches give them a snow job? When exactly will she find out that photography is not a major at Holy Cross? Or, perhaps she found out West Point doesn't have a photography major (or maybe they do!? You know, high altitude shots from SR-71s, U-2s and/or satellite photos) and decided to go where she thinks you can major in photography.

Indeed she is, breezy, and we know she will be going to Holy Cross, so I hope they do have a photography major by then. Teach her about telephoto lenses for when she is taking pictures of gators. I have a shot of perhaps a 20' croc when in Australia but he was basking and I was safely on a boat.

I love the 'losing to Lafayette by only four points' in the tourney. what a nice way to say last year's team underachieved in a big way. Gibbons has been recruiting players with the 'family atmosphere' sales pitch for quite a while now. that's nice, of course, but I'm not sure how well it's been working

2029!
And I think maybe I should apologize to Hope Brown for my ignorance of HC's photography offerings in the Fine Arts department. I thought she was expecting to major in something that was not available, but it seems she was more aware than I about the courses available at HC.

Don't be too hard on yourself. It appears there is still no photography major. She can take photography classes as part of a Studio Art major.
And it was not a direct quote that she wanted to major in photography and the reporter may have assumed an interest in photography and wanting to take photography courses meant she was going to major in the subject.
"Fake news!"

Gibbons has been recruiting players with the 'family atmosphere' sales pitch for quite a while now. that's nice, of course, but I'm not sure how well it's been working Family Atmosphere is nice for a game of scrabble. Neither Patton or Eisenhower or Knight or Wooten or Auriemma, or Summit or VanDerveer, would want there respective teams to just love being in a family atmosphere as the premiere trait to their Basketball recruits reason for playing. This is not CYO basketball. This is NCAA Division 1 Women's Basketball. Team should be mobile, agile and hostile to their opponents scoring against them. A quality I have not seen on HC Women's Basketball in the 21st Century. Our teams of late have consistently demonstrated their lack of quickness, as well the ability to impose their collective will to dominate the other team. Losing to last year's Lafayette team twice is unacceptable.
