I must have been unclear when I said "it is now but it was not always thus." It is a dump now, barely serviceable for the NY Guard and little else. I did not see any mention of the 1950s. When the Knicks were there (pre-MSG) it was not a bad place to catch a game (and to catch up on the history of the Irish Brigade).

I thought he was already on a 2 way contract That was last year. After he got hurt, they released him and then re-signed him to some other kind of contract. Raptors @ MSG tonight.

After Toronto's trade for Marc Gasol, a roster spot or 2 opened up...

After Toronto's trade for Marc Gasol, a roster spot or 2 opened up... Seems like that prevented Malcolm from playing against the Knicks tonight. The Raptors only have 10 guys under contract right now and they can’t sign anyone to a 10-day contract until they have a full 12. Not sure what will happen but it sure would be nice if they just decide to sign MM for the rest of the season. The league minimum for a guy with 1 year of experience is $1,349,383.

After taxes, one could barely make ends meet at that salary.

Unfortunately the Raptors have already made their last visit to the Garden this regular season, although the Celts head north in a couple of weeks, so he'll be on local TV

I love how you specify regular season as if the Knicks might somehow sneak in with the 8 seed.

I realize that for New Englanders there is the Garden and Madison Sq Garden while the rest of the country refers to the the Garden and Boston Garden (or for some corporate lackeys, TD Banknorth Garden). However the rest of the country also thinks you're supposed to pronounce the letter "R" at the end of a word. John Alden was hanging out in Plymouth way before Peter Minuit was buying bargain real estate in New York, so I work on the theory that we're right and everyone else is wrong. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ On a related note, I don't think I've used the words Knicks and Play-offs in the same sentence in quite a while

Here is one possible way to do it..."The Knicks suck so badly from ownership down that they may never make the playoffs again until there is a change of owners."

Better yet, if you click through that tweet to his Instagram post, Malcolm calls it a “multi-year deal”.
I think our guy has officially made it!
