Well, you see, it is because the players' salaries must be so much higher in order to send their kids to college where higher education costs have also risen astronomically. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Or, alternatively:
Just the capitalistic market working as it should. If costs get so high people cannot or will not pay those prices, the demand goes down and ticket prices will too.

I won 2 seats (front row State Street Pavilion) in a raffle for last Friday's 16-3 scalping at the hands of the O's....so not worth it

My answer to this question: ABSOLUTELY NOT ! The marketing of professional sports has been brilliant. They draw so many more fannies than the product provides to the consumer; and the related costs of getting to the game plus parking/eating etc.. makes it crazy. Personally I have only attended pro sporting events in the last 30 years when it was a corporate benefit. Add to all of this, maybe half of the games are competitive to the end.
Get to Fitton this fall !
