Perusing a December 1961 issue of the Crusader. Announced that the former President of BC had arrived at HC to oversee a slew of new construction, and start an endowment.
Article starts by noting that construction of two new dorms is underway. (Mirror design of Lehy and Hanselmasn.)
Article then lists the new buildings to grace the campus.
> A Jesuit residence and infirmary. (built where they said it would be built.)
> A 20 classroom and psychology lab building on site of Campion. (I guess this became Stein.)
> Convert Fenwick and O'Kane into administrative offices.
> Add an open stack wing for Dinand (Hiatt)
> Renovating Alumni, Beaven, Carlin, cost. $1.5 million
> Student Center (named 'The Utopia') to be built north of Kimball, cost $3 million
> New field house and gum, seating 4000, (no campus location given), cost. $2 million ___________________________________________ Total construction costs for the above $10.4 million
> Start an endowment with a goal of $10 million.
^^^^ This is only 55 years ago.

No reason to weep as the College has done pretty well in past 55 years Weep about how they could build so much for so little. Some of those buildings look to have had cost estimates of about $20-30 a square foot. Figge cost around $350 a square foot. And these were estimates before taking a toke or two became popular. Weep because it appears to be the last time that the college publicly described a comprehensive schedule of future construction projects.
