Holy Cross Men and Women will be competing in the National Catholic XC Championships in Notre Dame, IN on Sept 15. Last year the men finished 10th of 11 teams with our five "counting" runners finishing 51-52-63-66-67. The women finished 7th of 11 teams with the top five finishers at 17-24-33-38-46. I think the women have made some progress this season with some younger runners (FR & SO) doing well. Zoe Matherne may be our top woman runner but she did not run in the most recent meet. I don't know if she'll be running tomorrow. Let's see if the men and women can move up a place or two

Holy Cross has been attending this meet since its first year in 1980. (It was only a men's meet then; women were added at some later point.) I went as a junior and senior. It was the highlight of the season and a big recruiting tool. The course is a slow one, all on grass with no hills. I did get to see ND v. Purdue football my junior year which was quite a thrill.

The HC website goholycross.com has not yet posted the team scores from Friday's meet or Saturday's meet. Not good.
