Nate Pine must have a knot in his stomach. his legacy hangs on this (and the basketball) program(s). I guess he didn't realize only HC can limit an opponent to 226 total yards (incl -6 on the ground), win the turnover battle 3-0, have a 5th yr qb vs. a frosh, and lose the game on your home field. Defies all logic. Also, our place kicking is hurting us again. of course, last week's pain has not subsided and today we missed a fg of the same length that they made to beat us

Sorry I am a downer, but I can't take this anymore and wonder why I tune in every week. Last week I kept checking my phone the whole Dartmouth game and thought finally a miracle would happen and we would win. I keep thinking maybe this is the year - every year - and I really try to be positive, but the seasons just seem to unravel quickly. Some people started talking about us running the PL this year - I have my doubts. I can't believe this is the same school I attended when I look at our empty stands!! It's unbelievably sad what has happened to our winning culture. There is support for this school out there if we could just learn to win a few tight games. Alums are not fair weather fans, they are just exhausted from losing . I have no answers but something more has to change.

It's in my DNA to support this team but after games like that why? Need us in the stands? RSIG? PATHETIC!!!!!!!!! The best part about the day was catching up with alumni and being together as CRUSADERS! You might as well just get it over with and change the name!!!!

Two pretty bad teams out there today. Tough to watch. We're 2-3 and that makes 5-6 wins look like a real stretch this year.
As weak as the PL is this year (let's be honest, the league is awful), we looked bad today. And this is arguably our most talented and most experienced team in years.

Very disappointing.
I truly don’t understand how you go for it on 4th down from your 30 when you’ve only put up 7 points and your defense is playing that well.
Not a big fan of putting losses on coaches, but it’s really difficult to accept that decision.

Congrats to Lafayette and an incredible defence. They were prepared for us. Our offence was animal. The MVP trophy should go to the ref who called back that safety. That plus our missed FG would have won the game.
In the words of our friend HC87 I am sick and tired of finding new ways to lose. Should've canned Gilmore two years ago. After botched calls against UConn, Dartmouth, and a couple today including the 4th and 1, I say fire him tonight!

Gilmore was saying that we cannot win in OT by going for it on fourth down there was 1:40 on the clock. we had a long way to go just for a field goal. there was only one choice at this point - OT. or go for it, get stopped, and lose on a field goal No, more than one choice. The choice was allow your defense to stop them the logical choice was to punt and make them put a long drive together with little time left to win it or more likely go into OT would not OT have given us a better chance to win? we have no big back to give us one yard when the D knows what we will do.

I supported Gilmore after the Yukon loss. I praised Gilmore after the Bucknell and New Hampshire wins. I supported Gilmore after the Dartmouth loss. I did this even though I knew in my heart of hearts he should’ve been fired after the Lehigh loss a couple of years ago at the end of the season. Today wiped out any positives I ever felt towards Gilmore.

Agreed. We could have gone to 2OT last week as well by the same logic. Twice in a row our head coach has made the wrong decision

Gilmore & Rock were outcoached by the Lafayette staff - period !! 2 minutes left with 4th down from your 33 yard line and you run into the middle of the line - are you kidding me, punt the football ! Time for the change to be made asap. Heck, Lee Hull was at the game today, hand him the job tomorrow !! He would be a great choice to right the ship and receive alum support.
Put the 1-2 yard or behind the line pass routes in the trash can. Run routes to get you the 1st down. Use the back out of the backfield. QB decisions were not there today on our pass routes.
How can the opponent's defensive backs be so close to our receivers and we are 3-6 yards off of their offensive receivers ? Why don't we use our taller receivers on their shorter defensive backs as primary targets ? Also let the receivers get in their rhythm by staying in the game and changing personnel so often.
Coach Duffner would have buried this Lafayette team and he would be undefeated at this point. He and his staff always had the team ready to play and would not make bone headed calls like this HC does.

Two more losses by 7 points or less...... Tie game and you don't punt on 4th down from your own 35? This should seal the deal, a new coach will be the next move.

Amazing that I had such optimism just two weeks ago and now I feel exactly as I did last year and the year before that and the year before that and the year before that and the year before that. It's time.

Extremely disappointing that we appeared hungover after an excruciatingly tough loss to Dartmouth. I was hoping this team would be different than those in the past and bounce back with a convincing win today.
That second half performance by the offense was one of the worst I can ever remember by an HC team.

That second half performance by the offense was one of the worst I can ever remember by an HC team. Maybe, Especially considering the opponent. Some of the Georgetown losses have been awfully ugly. The Fordham loss(54-14) was worse on both sides of the ball. They could have scored 65-70.

Lafayette had given up 166 points in 4 games prior to today. I should really stop thinking about this game. It's not healthy.

The offense has been good for about six quarters all season -- first half against UConn and all of UNH.
We were not good at all against Bucknell. We were terrible today against a bad Lafayette team. We were just okay in spurts against Dartmouth.
Peter is a fine QB, but he's also very average at times. I would have thought that 5th year Pujals and the third year of Rock would really be clicking together. They mostly haven't been this season.
And don't think I'm giving TG a pass for today. The last two possessions of the game were incredibly botched by him.

O line is our biggest problem imho I thought they faired better against UConn and UNH than Dartmouth and Lafayette. Surprised at the o line performance and disappointed. Then again PP did have time today
