We have to apply to HE as soon as possible before ASU takes the open slot. We would be better off in HE, less travel and better competition. I don't think playing AIC & Bentley helps our recruiting efforts. Playing and LOSING to Bentley and AIC...

Do you think we have any advantage with ADMB? I would imagine he is well thought of, but also when the phone doesn't ring it is probably HE, so I think he would have to assertively contact HE to pursue it. Given the costs I don't know if he is motivated and/or if TPTB are encouraging him. But, sometimes when you are new and enthused in a job you don't know what you "can't" do yet so you go ahead and do it.

Notre Dame was in HE. How did that work out?

I would love to see HC in hockey east, but realistically, can HC recruit good enough players who can be very good hockey east players? So many of the the top players in that league leave early for the NHL, and are coming from Junior hockey programs, not top academic prep schools. They use the league as a stepping stone to the NHL..HC just might be a perennial bottom dweller, and it would take years to build a program that could compete..HC would be the top academic school in Hockey East by far! However I did hear FADNP say about Hockey East, "Not if but when"....

However I did hear FADNP say about Hockey East, "Not if but when".... Boston College is in HE, so HC would not be the top academic school by far. Depending on who you ask, Northeastern and BU could be considered better schools, too. The majority of HC's roster have already played Junior hockey. The recruiting philosophy really wouldn't change that much. We would still recruit nationally and in Canada, along with the majority of our players spending time playing Junior hockey. The only difference is the level of player we are recruiting. If HC truly committed themselves to it, it wouldn't take all that long to get to be a middle of the pack HE school.

I'm not sure what this list is supposed to mean.
UMass Lowell had 29 guys on the all academic team. Is UMass Lowell a better school than BC?
Maybe getting a higher GPA at a place like Lowell or Merrimack is easier than BC.
