Another thing I just thought of, has anyone heard if they are resuming the O'Melia Award this year as well?

@ crossbball13 said:Respectively disagree. If you don't see the HC advantages to playing this game, you really don't have a clue (sorry to be harsh but its true). If Gilmore was marching into Alumni in September, I'd be disinterested in the game because I would know the outcome. I'm really excited to see how Chesney handles himself in an ultra high stress situation. I'm even more excited to see a new QB (please be Degenhardt) take the snaps (Gilmore's biggest fault was pegging his career to Peter). I think we'll see some trickery (onsides kicks early on) at BC. I'm excited about the game. If you're not, then that's your own personal problem of which I have no care to solve. There will be tons of excitement about this game. We get a paycheck. Sorry you're wrong here. My purple glasses have been in the trash for some time now too - unbiased. "Ultra high stress? Trickery? Tons of Excitement? I think this is a goof." Which part isn't true? *We're playing at an ACC school - you don't think we might find out what Chesney is made of that week? *I've admittedly only watched 1 Chesney coached football game and it was the game they lost to Indiana (PA). They had an early onsides kick (perhaps two if memory serves me) and had many "trick plays". How are you confused by this? *Again, at an ACC school. Against (DARE I SAY IT) a historical rival. But you'll tell us how HC is more akin to a community college now. We're starting a new QB (and if its the sophomore - a *** recruit at QB). Would love to hear how that game isn't exciting. ___ Oh and I don't have to wait for the BC game you say? Oh joy! Can you please pay for my 4 hour uber back and forth to Hamilton to see it in person. What's your venmo? Comparing the Colgate game/talent/atmosphere to BC's is akin to (DARE I SAY IT?) comparing HC's admissions statistics to Harvard's. Quite different, but you knew that. ___ You saying the same thing over and over and over is a goof. Pride: HC sucks at every sport; HC is easy to get into; HC is now competitive with the likes of Stonehill rather than BC. Etc Etc Etc. I think I covered all your bases. You can now take the day off. Patriot League Network will allow you to see the Colgate game without actually going to Hamilton, NY. Not going to explain why my post was a goof? Waiting eagerly!!! Again, if you don’t understand why playing BC next year is better than good then you don’t have a clue — #clueless Sorry to be harsh but true.

Big mistake to look ahead. Colgate game is infinitely more important.

Was hoping for night games to open the season but I see that Colgate and BC have announced 1pm starts for our opening road games this season We are playing Harvard under the lights in Cambridge on a Friday night. This is a game that drew 22K in 2008. Hope we can get the same type of turnout this year.
