Here is the writeup on the Fordham-Lehigh game. The RAmns have a powerful running game, even with their big name injury.
Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham sophomore running back D'Angelo Palladino and freshman linebacker Glenn Cunningham were named Corvias Patriot League Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, it was announced today. It is the first weekly honor of the year for each. In a 45-35 Patriot League win over Lehigh on Jack Coffey Field on Saturday, Palladino rushed 31 times for 297 yards and three touchdowns, all career-highs. The 297 rushing yards are the most for a player on the NCAA FCS level this year and the third most in a game in school history. On the year, Palladino has carried 71 times for 475 yards and four touchdowns, all team-highs. He is fourth in the Patriot League in total rushing yards. Against Lehigh on Saturday, Cunningham led all Fordham defensive players with eleven solo tackles, including four sacks. The four sacks are the second most in a game for a player on the NCAA FCS level this year. He also forced a fumble, which he recovered, and had a pair of quarterback hurries. On the year, Cunningham leads the Rams with 68 total tackles, 43 solo, including 6.5 for loss and 4.5 sacks. He also has four pass deflections, one interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. The Rams (3-6, 2-2) return to action on Saturday, November 4, as they host Holy Cross in a Patriot League game on Jack Coffey Field at 1:00 p.m.

The stats are not kind to the Rams. Fordham has an average game score of -15 (37-22.1). Opponents have 633 more rushing yards than Fordham. (1883-1255)
Palladino (soph) has averaged 6.7 yards a carry and gained 482 yards. Edmonds (sr) has returned and is playing, averaging 3.7 yards a carry and gaining 329 yards in only 5 games. They are a tough 1-2 punch.
Kevin Anderson has completed over 61% of his passes (245 yards per game). He has had only 4 passes intercepted this year. Ram defenders have made 9 interceptions and will be looking to shut down Peter.
Finally, this is a different match-up than we saw at Yankee Stadium. It is the HC Defense that may mean the difference in this one. If HC cannot stop the FU rushing game, it could be another long afternoon in the Bronx.

Anyone who was automatically switched to the Fordham-Lehigh game on Saturday after our game would have been mighty impressed with Palladino. He was unstoppable in those final minutes we watched

I'm guessing this will be one of our larger turnouts for the season.

While the game should be far better than last year, i am concerned by the pre-game issues identified in the email from the college:
"Fordham has invited all Holy Cross alumni and friends to congregate in its Homecoming Tent at Edwards Parade (across from Coffey Field). Complimentary BBQ/picnic style food, water and soft drinks will be served. Beer and wine available with the use of purchased drink tickets.
NO tailgating will be permitted in Lot A. Everyone is invited to join us under the Fordham Homecoming Tent on Edwards Parade."

Are there any lots aside from Lot A that tailgating would be feasible?

We started the season stocked with fifth year seniors and a star QB. After a quick start, the year has turned south big time. Even wins against Lehigh and Fordham...unlikely though they may be... will not erase the disappointment of what should have been a good year. And next year we'll be starting all over. The College has got to decide whether football makes sense any more.

Are there any lots aside from Lot A that tailgating would be feasible? i don't believe so. i think that is the only outdoor lot on campus. We are all invited to the Fordham hospitality tent to eat their food, but it is not the same as our own Arthur Avenue themed tailgate. I'll just have to go to dinner afterwards.

HC was on Glenn Cunningham’s list of potential schools at one point. Would have been a nice get.

I believe some of us may go to Howl at The Moon beforehand.
It's pretty close by, and I'm going to want to have a few drinks before heading into this game...

45 minutes until kick and, based on the silence around these parts, I think we are all just ready for basketball to begin. Sigh.

Nah, still interested but not taking a trip down to Fordham. As I posted elsewhere: Crusaders don't do well in the Bronx or Hamilton when I attend in person. My absence is my contribution to the cause. On the other hand, they do great, when I am at West Point, so it's not a New York thing.

The good news is it looks like PP has been given the green light to run which adds a dimension to the offense that has been lacking but desperately needed.
Thought Dorsey broke the plane initially but replays showed it was legitimate fumble.
