Good we at least got the tie as they are pretty tough on their home ice. I did notice we had 3-1 and 4-2 leads and couldn't maintain. Need to keep the advantage and win. Let's get one tonight.

The glass-is-half-full view is that we were down 5-4 very late and battled to get the equalizer. If we can get out of a Pittsburgh with at least 2 points, that’s not a terrible weekend. RMU was the league runner-up last year and was picked to finish second this year.

A tough loss after strong play in the tie. Any thoughts as to what was different in that second game?

Tough games at RMU. The Colonials always seem to play better at home and are probably better than their record indicates. They played well in the two losses vs. Ohio State, losing 5-3 and 3-1.
HC blew a lead late against an awful Bentley team on 10/20 but pulled out the W in OT. They started off the Dartmouth game like gangbusters but had a letdown in the 2nd that allowed Dartmouth to come back. They looked like a better team against Princeton for about 2/3 of the game, but came out slow in the 2nd and were outworked. Those 3 Princeton scores proved to be the difference.
HC and RMU looked pretty even on Friday night, with HC shaking off some bus legs. We still won a number of 50/50 puck battles and had the faceoff edge in the first. We started off the second strong but fell into our sleep again, lost puck battles, lost faceoffs, no energy, etc. Most importantly, RMU was skating circles around our defence and we couldn't get the puck out of the zone. We looked gawd awful on Saturday for most of the game with all of those bad habits rearing their ugly heads. RMU is better than their record and we might be about right or a tad worse than our record. If we get outworked for 2 periods we will lose almost every game.
