Hey, if Mitch Hahn played for Omaha, I bet they don't lose by more than 40!

...Final over the weekend: UNH 111, Lyndon (Vermont) State 31. Teams do tend to play woofers right after exams to get back in playing shape, no other reason for such a game to be played.

True enough. I hope Lyndon got something positive from that game.

Lyndon has two players taller than 6-2, a 6-3 sophomore and a 6-4 freshman. UNH outrebounded the Hornets 66-12. Insanity.

Wofford is very well coached Agree. Mike Young is in his 30th season at Wofford, the last 16 as head coach. I've followed them a bit due to some Bucknell connections. Mark Prosser, who was an assistant to Flannery for 4-5 years, became an assistant at Wofford for about five years after Flannery retired. And current Bison assistant, Paul Harrison, was a Wofford assistant under Young for 6-7 years. Also,Young's mentor - Bob Johnson, the long-time coach at Emory and Henry - was the coach who gave Nathan Davis his first coaching job.

UAB comes close to knocking off Louisville! Cremo had a great game! Even though RJ is an Assistant at the 'Ville, I would have loved to see UAB knock them off! !

Time to scour the intramural league for a couple of insurance players. I recall one year while I was at HC that we had to bring a player out of intramurals towards the end of the season when we had some injuries. Can't remember the name right now......

Seton Hall lost their point guard from last year to graduation. Walker was supposed to be the next PG, but an injured hand took him out for a few games. He felt he had recovered enough to play. When he was held out and never got on the court in the last SHU game, he left. You re right. There may be a player or two wandering the halls in South Orange right now who could be useful.

Seton Hall had a top prospect unexpectedly withdraw from the school. SHU currently has only 9 players suiting up and eligible to play.
Walker is the third player to leave the program since the middle of last season. Jevon Thomas left for disciplinary reasons, Myles Carter was dismissed for academics and Veer Singh left looking for more playing time. It is a tough stretch for Coach Willard.

I wasn't a math major, but that looks like 4 to me (Walker, Thomas, Carter & Singh).

UAB comes close to knocking off Louisville! Cremo had a great game! Even though RJ is an Assistant at the 'Ville, I would have loved to see UAB knock them off! ! Entertaining game to watch. Was refreshing to see a team have and execute a gameplan against a team that had far more, talent, athleticism, and size.

Entertaining game to watch. Was refreshing to see a team have and execute a gameplan against a team that had far more, talent, athleticism, and size. Didn't see it, what was the successful game plan? -Despite being significantly under-sized (6'0, 6'4, 6'6, 6'6, 6'7 starting 5 versus 6'2, 6'6, 6'7, 6'10,7'0), the DOMINATED the glass -- TWENTY ONE offensive rebound, and held a Louisville team that had been average 12.2 ORebsPG to only 7. ---Albany OReb%: .412 (on the season Duke leads the country at .426 and Syracuse is the only other team above 4 at .409) ---'Ville Oreb%: .184 (compared to .329 on the season) (.184 would be the 349th team in the country-out of 351-and in "Holy Cross Territory") -Ran offensive sets that forced Lousiville to defend through screens, and got the ball to their best players (especially Cremo) in a great position to score despite going against a much longer and quicker defense -Didn't allow Louisville's press to dictate the tempo of the game We are MILES behind Albany. Sad!

Will Brown is a really good coach. He and his family must be pretty content in Albany, as I'm sure he's had the opportunity to leave for bigger jobs. Wasn't he a name that was tossed around when Ralph left us in 2009?
I do think Albany has ponied up some money to keep him there.

Brown signed a new 5-year deal in 2016 for $350,000 per year plus a car allowance. There are supposedly no other incentives in the contract. I have no idea what outside income he might have in addition.

If I remember correctly, the 1971-72 rotation was basically 6 players, , and I think Larry Haley came from the intramural ranks and played some good minutes when needed . (think Stan Grayson was injured for 6-8 games )

I don't think Larry Haley is the guy that I have in my memory. He played 21 games that season and scored 39 points--it was the only year he played at HC. It also wasn't Neil Ryan (excellent intramural football QB) who played in a few games in 70-71 but was not on the team in 71-72. This will remain a mystery to me...unless something jogs my memory. Sorry to get this thread off track
Steve Anderson was a different case---scholarship player ( I believe) and the son of NYT writer/columnist Dave Anderson, (HC Grad--maybe class of 1950) . He played a couple of years and did not see the court a lot, then left the team as a junior. As a senior he was called back into service when we became shorthanded.
