Brown up 1 on Northwestern in 2nd half! The last time Brown beat a Big 10 School was in 2007! They beat Northwestern coached by Bill Carmody! Brown loses by, um, 22.

Hey thank you for letting me know as I didn’t have a chance to finish the game. Very kind of you to take time out of your Saturday to let me know. Well guess the record book for Brown will still say they haven’t beat a Big Ten team since beating Carmody’s 2007 Northwestern squad.

Saw some highlight clips on our local RI TV station news. Look liked Brown gave Northwestern a scare before their superior talent pulled away and won big. Not unlike Holy Cross playing URI even through the first half of the game, fell behind, came back to make it a little closer and eventually lost by 20+.

UMass' Luwane Pipkins drops school record 44 in win vs LaSalle Surprised that's the record with Dr J having played there a couple of years

That is a little surprising given the high scoring, low defense era in college hoop during Dr J's time at UMass.....

Yeah hard to believe DrJ's highest scoring game at UMass was 37 particularly when he averaged 26 for his career. 52 double doubles in 53 games had only 9 rebounds in final game of career. Grayson gave him al, he could handle in games against HC.

Trae Young with another great game for Oklahoma today 43-11-7, hard to believe that this years class is so good that an NBA scout says he's still not projected to go in top 5.

Great college players do not necessarily equal great NBA players There are many great College bigs, esp freshmen

Trae Young is a generously listed 6' 2" guard. He's not a "big".

If I recall correctly he tried to get Stan to play with him on the Squires , but Stan opted for the blue and Maize in Ann Arbor and law school . As we all know this was followed by a fabulous career that included public service to the citizens of NYC

Stan was a fine college player, but was not a pro, even in the ABA.

Didn’t say that he was a pro player, and my guess is Stan wouldn’t argue all that much. My post was nothing more than a description of what i “recall” took place 46 years ago.

Here is a link to a story and attached video of Springfield College beating UMass and Dr. J, in 1971..I taught and coached with Judd Hunt, #42 for Springfield for about 35 years...It has a nice little article with it...Dr. J had 18 in the game, maybe one of his lowest point total at UMass.. www.digitalcommonwealth.org/search/commonwealth-oai:w37639311

In 1970 Denis Clark set aSpringfield College record scoring 50 points against HC. Dana Anderson from my hometown was a big star for those Springfield teams and fortunately I did not have to see him beat HC as I saw him beat my HS team so many times.
