HC 55, BC 12 And all the BC players lived to tell about it the next day. This is the best story to tell when people give me the "really, you guys have a football team? I never knew that - you guys obviously aren't Division I though" response to talking about HC sports.
My first day on campus at Holy Cross, my dad bought me a picture of the scoreboard from this game (we're up 48-6 in front of a still-packed house at Fenway). The same picture hung in all four of my college bedrooms and has moved with me ever since. Thanks to Lu Ann Hennessy (and an assist from ACTP IIRC), I now also have a framed picture of the last BC game at Fitton Field next to it in my pre-girlfriend moving in bedroom/man cave/now a guest room.

Are any players from that team still alive?

Good question....no clue but there can't be many sadly. Even if you were a very young 17 that day, you'd be 92 today.
Did Ed Murphy longtime coach at Dracut HS play in that game? He died relatively recently I believe....

Address was 17 Piedmont St. which is now at the corner of Piedmont and Cocoanut Grove Lane. Not sure what's there now.
