'pards are 4-7 with a new coach after Teresa Grentz was shown the door after a 4 win season. Sad to admit that two of their four wins came 'in Worcester', Maybe the absolute low point in Gibbons' career.
they are predicted to finish last in the pre-season poll and nothing has happened to change that. They lost their opener at Lehigh by 25, and I'd be disappointed if tonight's margin wasn't similar.

I have to agree, haze. The women looked pretty good at times in their last two games. However, didn't Lafayette break a long losing streak against HC last season?

two of the league favorites won on the road this afternoon - AU cruised past Colgate by 22 and Bucknell beat BU by 5

nope - empty gyms - a long bus ride home for Bucknell and maybe AU wanted to catch a plane from Syracuse this evening (or would they bus back ? - I don't know)
I dare say attendance for evening starts would have made little difference

lost 69-65 - no more excuses, coach - you should be embarrassed to lose to that team - that's 3 in a row in worcester for the 'pards - one of the worst teams in the country - well, that makes 2 of the worst teams, I guess. Very sad, indeed

Not an excuse, but it was pretty clear that a few of the kids were under the weather, didn't help that Byrne only played 4 mins.

you're right - not an excuse - every year teams go through stretches when kids are not feeling well - Gibbons has simply lost this program and its been obvious for at least 10 years. the roles on this team are jumbled and the players look confused. NP is not the type of AD who is just going to say he's been a good ambassador for 33 years and do nothing.

Both the men and the women are absolutely awful. It is a shame what the school has allowed it's "marquee" programs to become.
