The mids are 12-3 but only 2-2 in the league. their best win is at Richmond by 20 points. common opponents (other than PL) are Marist (navy won) and HC lost, and we both beat Rider.
Along with Bucknell and American, they are one of the better teams in the league.
Gibbons is sitting at 596 career wins so every game (esp at home) is important to reaching 600. Will the team play well enough to get this one ?

I would hope so, A lot may happen when BG reaches 600 wins. However, our poor rebounding (17 fewer than Loyola), ball handling and passing have been less than acceptable leading to turnovers and early deficits.

Massey makes Navy a 10 point favorite at HC (with an 81% chance for the win).

Here is the Navy site account of their last game.
ANNAPOLIS, Md. ---- A 19-2 run in the middle of the second quarter propelled the Navy women's basketball team to a cushion it would not relinquish in a 70-54 victory by the Mids (12-3, 2-2 Patriot League) over Colgate (5-11, 0-4) Monday night at Alumni Hall in Annapolis. Navy held a 15-13 lead through the first quarter, but the lead changed hands four times on four-straight possessions in the early moments of the second quarter. That span ended with Taylor Dunham (Sr., Fort Belvoir, Va.) sinking a three-point field goal to give the Mids a 20-19 lead 75 seconds into the stanza. Her triple kick started a 13-0 run that eventually grew to 19-2 and increased the Navy advantage out to 38-21. In addition to finding success on the offense end of the court, Navy also didn't allow Colgate to make a field goal in the final eight-plus minutes of the half which concluded with Navy in front 40-26.
"I think we just saw some shots start to fall," said Navy head coach Stefanie Pemper on the team's second quarter run. "Our defense was impacting them; they (Colgate) turned it over in the first half. Maybe just a combination of the two." The Mids were 11-20 (55%) from the floor in the second quarter and held the Raiders to a 2-10 (20%) effort from the field. Navy also scored 15 points after the 15 turnovers it forced Colgate into in the first half, while the Raiders tallied four points after the five turnovers committed by the Mids in the half.
Any thoughts by the Raiders of a rally were thwarted in the opening minutes of the third quarter as the Mids drained three-point field goals on each of their first three possessions of the second half, which soom led to Navy building a 54-34 advantage. Navy shot 41.2 percent (28-68) from the floor in the game and limited Colgate to an 18-46 (39.1%) effort from the field. Those numbers included the Mids going 6-28 (21.4%) from three-point land and the Raiders going 2-9 (22.2%) from three-point range. "We again didn't shoot the three-point shot great tonight," said Pemper. "We looked at how far we had fallen in the league stats. After 11 non-league games and then three league games, we have just plummeted in shooting numbers."
Colgate held a 40-34 edge on the glass, but the Raiders committed 24 turnovers and forced the Mids into just nine turnovers. Navy held a 22-11 edge in points scored after turnovers. Hannah Fenske (Sr., Albuquerque, N.M.) paced the Mids with 19 points and six assists.
"We knew coming into tonight this was a big game for us," said Fenske. "We really needed to get back on track and get a win. It was good to see the ball go through the basket."
Joining her in double figures were Dunham and Morgan Taylor (So., Evans, Ga.), each of whom scored 14 points. Additionally, Kaila Clark (So., Hughesville, Md.) tallied 10 rebounds and eight points. "I thought Kaila was good tonight," said Pemper. "She came out with good energy and focus. Hannah was terrific and Taylor was good. And the battalion spirit night was huge for us tonight. We really needed it."

navy started 2nd qtr on 8-0 run and maintained the lead throughout - still no reliable scorers other than manis and th-waheed. navy def showed better athleticism in the qtr

down 43-35 3 1/2 minutes left in 3rd qtr - after the 1st qtr, we've scored only 18 points in almost 17 minutes. we don't shoot very well. that makes it tough.

lost 65-58 - Swords made a nice offensive contribution in this one - maybe that will free up manis to play the '4' position more in future games. very tough 4 game stretch coming up starting at BU on sunday
