I guess they heard you with overcoming a 10 point deficit and winning 24-20 despite losing Gronk to a concussion in the entire second half.

I don't like the Pats or their coach, but I have to respect them after that comeback.

I don't like the Pats or their coach, but I have to respect them after that comeback. You needed that comeback in order to respect them? Reaching seven straight AFC Championship games and winning two of the last three Super Bowls wasn't enough?

I, for one, am not a big Belichick fan from his days with the Browns and I was living in Ohio. What the tandem of he and Brady have done, with a little help of all the other Pats players and coaches, is phenomenal. Still can't stand Belichick but they have the expertise at making halftime adjustments and pulling seemingly unwinnable games into the victory column. You can never count them out in a game. But I totally understand those of us with NY roots who still find it hard to like the Pats or to respect them. Sort of like the Red Sox fans and their envy of all those Yankee World Series championships. Doesn't help that Pats fans hold up defensive signs saying "You hate us because you aren't us."

I respect them but was making the point that even a critic could be impressed by what they did (even without Gronk). How many times did they lose Superbowls to the Giants again?

Cheating to get to the Superbowl is as bad as cheating while there. If you are curious I invite you to look them up.

The Pats and their coach (remember the illegal/unethical taping of opponent practices?) are not important enough for me to bother about either. Be well. You might want to start with the Forbes article (Oct 5, 2017) entitled "When the Going Gets Tough for the Patriots...Cheat!"

You might want to start with the Forbes article (Oct 5, 2017) entitled "When the Going Gets Tough for the Patriots...Cheat!" You are misstating the facts. There is only one alleged instance of taping of a practice, i.e. the 2002 Super Bowl walkthrough and it has never been validated in any way. Spygate had to do with taping an opposing coach's signals from the sideline during an early season game in 2007. The Pats were punished severely and a subsequent investigation revealed that they had done it in that preseason and in 2006. I will point out that the Pats did not make the 2007 Super Bowl and lost in the 2008 so I see nothing there to taint any victories. Look, I think that the Pats did something wrong in Deflategate although I don't think it was proven and I do think that the punishment was outrageous but let's not go overboard on the Patriots cheating. I assume you are a Jets (Sam Alosi, anyone ?) or Giants (Walkie Talkies anyone?) fan.

Or Crampgate in 2011 for the Giants -- Or Cellphone gate in 2016, when a member of the Giants' staff was caught using a cellphone on the sidelines during a game.

OK, if someone else cheats, then it is OK for the Patriots? Well, that ends that. BTW, I am not OK with anyone cheating.
(PS: I have never been a Jets fan - long time Giant fan. After this past season...we'll see.)

The Pats may or may not have done something wrong in the so-called "Deflategate". The league was so inept in that case there's no telling what the hell happened. I don't think you can list anything from that as tainted from cheating if you don't even know if there was cheating.
Belichick has seven rings looking for number 8. Is anyone outside of the Rooney family even close?

Uh, maybe Tom Brady? And how many Super Bowl MVP awards has Belichick won? Not one!! Slacker!
OK. Change of pace: whose wife is more beautiful (not talking about "inner beauty" here as neither shines), Donald Trump (#3 for clarification purposes) or Tom Brady?

The Patriot haters are an amusing bunch. Whether you're a fan or not, if you can't recognize what they've done over the past 20 years you are just a grumpy, miserable person.

Nah. If you want to see a real grumpy, miserable person, watch me after the HC February BOT meeting if they try to get rid of or emasculate the Crusader.

P.S. I remember in the late 60's how most New Englanders were Giants fans, not "Boston Patriots" fans.

The Patriot haters are an amusing bunch. Whether you're a fan or not, if you can't recognize what they've done over the past 20 years you are just a grumpy, miserable person. Recognizing all they have done is easy - including both the good and the bad. Patriot fans seem to have trouble with anything that implies anythig less than perfection. I have not admired Brady as a person (outstanding athlete) since he demanded to be present when his "baby momma" gave birth to their child and took her to court when she refused. I may well be grumpy and miserable but that has no connection to what I said that seems to have started this off...that I respected both the Patriots and Belichick for their Division win (I just don't like them). I would again refer any who are interested to the article I cited above. It is only one of many. I guess all those folks whose articles come up when you search for "Patriots, cheating" must be miserable as well.

P.S. I remember in the late 60's how most New Englanders were Giants fans, not "Boston Patriots" fans. You stick what you grew up with. Prior to 1960 there were no Patriots so the Giants were the local team. Still lots of old people around these parts that are Giants fans because of that. Brady has five rings. I think Dan Rooney has 6 (4 as some front office job during the Bradshaw years and 2 as owner with Big Ben at QB)

I still remember friends thinking how lucky I was to get Giant home game at HC - outside of the blackout range. They had to stick to their radios. I was a Pats fan for the years when Jon Morris played for them. When he moved on, so did I.

Can’t stand the Eagles and I have lots of friends who are Pats fans so I will be sort of rooting for them but basically hoping for a good game which I don’t see happening. 42-14 Pats.

Memo to all the complete knob Patsies fans when you're packing your jorts, white sneakers, and bud light t shirts for the big nite out at the SB: it gets cold in Minnesota.

Love the Patriots or hate them, knowledgeable football fans will have to admit that they do have the best coach in the NFL’s history. Give the devil his due
