American is 15-4 and 8-0 in the Patriot League. Massey has them as a 9 point favorite (59-68) but HC does still have a 24% chance for a win at home.

AU is a veteran team that has received big contributions from their seniors and juniors. Sr. Emily Kinneston is a very good guard and Jr. Cecily Carl at 6-3 is a handful under the basket.
They have quality road wins over Tulsa and Geo. Mason (by 18 pts) and a home win over Penn St.
Maybe we can play as well tonight as we played poorly on Saturday. That's what it will take.

Unfortunately, can't watch the second, I think which ever team can put a few offensive series together will likely pull away.

AU up 31-30 qt the half - they are not playing like a 1st place team so we have an opportunity in this one our shooting also very average - manis and th-waheed both shooting 2 of 9 from the field and lauren is 1 of 4 from the line.

Going to Overtime........... Holy Cross had a chance to win, picked up an offensive foul. American missed the game winner with three seconds left.

Overtime! HC got very lucky on the last possession of regulation. An American player was wide open under the basket and one of her teammates took and missed an elbow jumper that HC rebounded to get to OT.

Two bad possessions in a row at the end for HC. We traveled for no apparent reason on one. On the next, we tried to hit Manis cutting to the basket down three and the pass got picked off.

opportunity lost in this one - nice comeback got us in position to win and two huge breaks went our way in the last minute of regulation = a flagrant foul called against AU so we got two foul shots and the ball - proceeded to turn it over = a very close ball out-of-bounds call went to AU, but the refs reversed the call and gave us the ball. we turn it over
Did not play well in the OT, managing only 6 points with numerous turnovers.
Manis (might have) taken the most shots ever in a game as she was 8 of 24 including 0 of 6 from 3 - she has the liberty to shoot whenever, and she deserves to have that right, but last night not enough of them went in.

A bounce pass would have got through! The last possession in regulation, to win the game, didn’t get a shot off, and HC had the ball twice...Good comeback, but Manis has to get the ball at the end, imho....

Only watched Q4 and the OT...IT-W struggled during that time frame. Bad shots and a turnover or two. But she ended up with 19 points and 12 rebounds, so overall she had a decent game. 39 minutes played could have been a factor in that too. It looked to me like HC's zone didn't shift quickly enough. AU got a lot of very good long range looks. Gibbons has to get quicker people or get the ladies he has quicker. Or make adjustments accordingly. Oh, yes, was meaning to ask. Why did HC lose the ball inbounding after the out-of-bounds reversal? Had volume off and couldn't tell. 5 seconds or something else?? Also, in terms of the out-of-bounds replay, that was a nice reversal. I can see where the official underneath would have missed it...it looks like Thomas' foot hit the ball because her foot was pointed in the same direction as the ball went. Some calls are just like that. I am still puzzled however where the replay showed the foul on Manis was that egregious. Did they make that call right away or after they watched the picture a bunch of times?

The officiating in the game was par for the course -- not good.
The egregious foul call was made after extended video review. Quite frankly, I thought it was just a hard foul.
On the out-of-bounds play, I think the call was an offensive foul on Manis. It had to be on her, since the two American players practically tackled her as she tried to move.
