Our house on Caro made some serious $$$ one year during Cape Week. It was insanity, one of our housemates was the Budweiser rep on campus (doubt that position exists anymore either)...we brought down like 50 kegs in a U-Haul and had a couple parties where we stayed in Yarmouth (deemed "HC by the Sea")...students from all ovah New England beside HC came to our parties. I think we charged $5, maybe $10 a cup...hundreds of people at those parties. I don't think I've ever seen that amount of cash in one sitting since... I should have gone into the hospitality industry instead of education .....never happen today for a variety of reasons. Ah yes. West Yarmouth. HC by the Sea. I have a bleary recollection of 3 years of heading to some cottages (and A Frames) at that locale.

While I was at HC, the standard price for an all the Bud you could drink until the kegs ran out keg party went from $2 to $3. People who today pay $8 for a craft beer were horrified.

We screen our potential renters for our home down the Cape very carefully for June rentals. No question we've had inquiries from "Cape Week" types; HC and non-HC. Just not worth it if you have a property that has any value. Especially given it's the beginning of the rental season, September you can take a few more risks.
