It does not sound like anyone in the group described (Power 5 Conferences and "millionaire" coaches) would be connected to Holy Cross.

Other than re-paying appearance money for all those games, I'm not sure that means anything. Until the NCAA sues a school and says take down banners and stop referring to national championships, everyone will think they won. On a local note, UMass has a Final Four banner from 1996 - even though that appearance was vacated. Most lists I have seen of these things show the school with as asterisk. This link is an official NCAA site. We'll see if they strike the word "Louisville" from the list or just give it an asterisk. www.ncaa.com/history/basketball-men/d1

Memphis is still up there from a few years ago too. Not sure if that means anything.

"Vacated" means really nothing. The game was played, and based on the outcome Louisville won. The NCAA, or anyone else for that matter, cannot undo history to say "X team didn't win." Let me rephrase: the NCAA did just that. They said Louisville didn't win. But everyone watching saw it happened. So who cares?
This is a twist on the classic tree falling in the forest. If a tree falls in a forest and everyone sees it, does it not because the NCAA said it didn't? Or... something like that.

Keep in mind that the penalties announced today are for the prostitution scandal and are NOT connected to the FBI investigation that resulted in the firing of Pitino & Jurich.

For those who didn't read the article, Isaiah Whitehead from Seton Hall is mentioned. Not good to see the son of a Crusader and former hoops coach potentially caught up in this mess.
Kentucky mentioned as well. Not a player who participated in a Final Four so no jeopardy for now of Calipari being the first coach to have a Final Four appearance vacated at THREE different schools

When you play with fire (see Morton, Tiny--Lincoln HS, AAU Juice All Stars,.Hired by Willard as a package for Whitehead, Delgado, Carrington, Rodriiguez) you take the high risk of being burned

This is an FBI investigation. So my question is how and from whom did Yahoo obtain all these documents and info ?
ANSWER: They paid someone handsomely within the FBI.
How would ya like to work for Yahoo, eh ?
I think I'll go watch All the President's Men again....love those late night secret meetings in parking garages with Mr. Deep Throat.
Doesn't this just mirror all the disturbing crap that's been going on in Washington, DC - with the FBI in the middle of it all ?
Anyway, so far 10-12 schools mentioned. Widely assumed there's another 40 to 45 coming.

The stories about Seton Hall recruiting “issues” are not new. Sadly, it is how many say the game of big-time recruiting must be done. This current investigation will hurt some careers, but in the long run it may not change much.

Likely SDNY “leak”. And let me repeat a question I had a month ago, “Who exactly is the victim?”

Final score in their favor, but they got there by cheating. If you win by cheating [and got caught] did you still win?
