Well, back to reality after the party for no.600 - we're not a very good team at 11-17 and we'll see how much we have in the tank tonight. Manis and Th-W have shown signs of fatigue in recent games with sub-par performances.
Both teams have plenty of motivation - Lehigh is playing to clinch a home game in the quarters vs. Army and HC can climb as high as No. 6 and clinch a first round bye with a win, a Lafayette win (at Colgate), and a Loyola loss (at BU). Those 'help' games could very well go in our favor - can we come up with a big game ?

Gibbons got his 600th -- a big congratulations to him.
Now that he has reached this milestone, he is supposed to retire after this season. It's for the good of the program.

Sorry, is "should retire" better?

I agree here - if he's honest with himself,he would admit he's not gotten the job done - yikes, 4 seniors get significant time which shows you there's not a lot of talent on the bench. if he is not removed, there really is not much hope going forward - if anyone wants to argue that with talent returning and the incoming frosh, they can compete with the top of the league, pls present your case. This year it's been Manis and Infiniti, next year Lauren is alone with no one else to rely on, game after game.

20-14 good gals after 1 - make shots and good things happen - that's the story so far

lead now only one point 30-29 at the half. Manis being outplayed by Lehigh's center. will need her in the 2nd half.

47-43 HC after 3 - Manis has only 7 points - This would be a nice win

Congrats to the ladies ! we did make it interesting at the end. we led 61-51 with 1 1/2 minutes left - then gave them open 3's and we proceeded to miss 5 free throws in the last minute. lehigh had the ball with 11 seconds left, down 2, and missed an uncontested layup - doherty made 1 of 2 ft's with 2 seconds left.

In the other games with seeding implications for Holy Cross . . . Loyola leads BU, 45-43, 6 1/2 to go. Colgate beat Lafayette.

looks like we're the 7 seed and colgate will come to town on saturday - colgate knocked off lafayette and loyola leads bu by 9 with one minute to go. the other 1st round game will be lafayette and bu.

Trailing 55-49 with 3m to go, Colgate went on a 9-0 run in about ninety seconds to overtake Lafayette.

Congrats to the women's team. Even if it's a play-in game, nice to see another win for the Cross at the end of the season.

If you've followed this team closely, it is not far fetched to say a couple of more wins are very possible.

Is the team at full strength with all of the injured now at 100%?

these recent posts are full of 'purple' kool-aid - get a grip, guys luckily, we've been healthy for the entire year with the exception of Hasenauer who returned in January. Locke never played last year and she's been out all season (this is another excuse the coach couldn't use)
we play a colgate team on Saturday which started the PL season 0-13 and whose rpi is well into the 300's (we lost to lafayette last year at home with a similar profile so nothing is a sure bet). if we get past them, we play at Bucknell which just routed American and AWP in their last two games. Get back to me if we stay in the game vs. the Bison.

Why did Murphy, a scholarship player, only get in 5 games....a bad decision to recruit her....or injury?

OK, so we were completely healthy for the entire year except for the players we lost to injury. Interesting logic.
