Unfortunately for Ahmed, he is now 27 years old. Dodgers apparently moving on and making way for younger talent. Would be nice if he could get released and catch on with another organization. If not, could be the end of the road for him.
Ahmed had a few at bats for LA in spring training. Perhaps he sustained an injury and is in extended spring training. He was on the AA Tulsa Drillers roster for most of last year with a few cups of coffee with the AAA Albuquerque Dodgers. With his position versatility and career OBP, here’s hoping another organization picks him up if the Dodgers release him.

Looks like Mike has played in about half of the team's games and is batting a creditable .271 but with no home runs. He's played 4 games at 1B, 1 at 2B, 14 at 3B with no errors (impressive), and 19 at SS.
Brendan King was 0-2 with a big ERA at Myrtle Beach (A+) but is now 4-0 as a reliever for South Bend (A)
Declan Cronin is playing for the White Sox team in the Arizona (Rookie) league. He's 1-0 in 7 games, 10 innings, 9 hits, only 1 run, and 13 strikeouts to 2 walks. Good start
Nick Lovullo played 15 games for AAA Pawtucket (batted .200) and 4 for the AA Portland Seadogs (2 for 11= .182), and I think he's now at A+ Salem where he's batting .214--has played 2B, 3B, SS

Brendan King remains 4-0 for South Bend--has had a couple of outings since last report. One appearance was rough: 3 innings with 5 hits and 2 runs, the other 1 &1/3rf innings of no hit no run pitching. In 27 innings he has struck out 30 batters
Declan Cronin, now at Kannapolis as WooGray noted, had the tough first appearance but has since then pitched 2 &2/3rds innings with no hits and no runs, then 1 & 2/3rds with one hit and no runs.
Nick Lovullo, at Salem, is 3 for his last 6 and has raised his batting average to .218
Mike Ahmed has not played in the last week--the team has had several games, so I wonder if he is injured?

Quick update--using August 14 as starting point
Declan Cronin has pitched 4 games and 13 &2/3rds innings giving up just 7 hits and 3 runs. He's 1-1 in that period. Plays for Kannapolis "A" league
Nick Lovullo has struggled at the bat going 8 for 47 during the period. Plays for Portland Sea Dogs "AA"
Mike Ahmed has also struggled offensively going 6 for his last 49. He continues to sparkle in the field committing 1 error in those 14 games. In 28 games at 3B Mike is fielding .985 (compare to Manny Machado at .958). I don't have a good handle on his range at the position but the fielding average surely has caught the attention of management. Plays for Arkansas "AA"
Brendan King had pitched 5 games and 13 & 2/3rds innings giving up 15 hits and 4 earned runs. Plays for South Bend "A"

The worrisome thing about Cronin is that he isn't missing bats. Of the twenty-six pitchers who have appeared in more than one game for Kannapolis this year, he is 26th - last - in K/9 (5.9). Not a good sign for success at higher levels, but he is at an age-appropriate level now, so still worth monitoring.
King, on the other hand, is 25-years-old and repeating LowA in the Midwest League, where the average player is 21-years-old. Hard to be bullish about his prospects at this point.
Lead me not into temptation. I can find the way myself.
/\ Looking at Cronin's MLB page he does seem to be getting steady work down there and in his last 10 appearances (18.2 innings) he's got 15 strikeouts so he is at least trending positively in that particular category K/9 (8.2) in Class A after a rocky start following the move from rookie ball. If he wraps up the season continuing that positive trend the organization will see that as a good sign. No info on the fastball velocity for the 6'4" 225 21-year-old righty . www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?player_id=686539#/career/R/pitching/2019/ALL
