I highly recommend watching the 30 for 30 "Requiem for the Big East" on the rise and fall of the conference. It was outstanding like most 30 for 30's, yet sad as well.

Navy plays football in the AAC, and other sports in the Patriot Why can't Uconn do the same and remain in the AAC for football, and play other sports in the Big East ?

Because the league might send them packing. We need Fordham and GTown, so we allow them to play football in the PL. we give leeway to army and navy because they add prestige to the league. We even let them set baseball schedules that don’t work for everyone.

Best part of that Big East 30 for 30. Quick clip of high school aged Patrick Ewing playing Worcester North in state finals at Hart Center. Don't think Worcester Fire Department would have approved of crowd size.
