Understood I can see two of them not having a role outside of practice, and by next year both could be off the roster

Here’s what our scholarship players for next year look like based on height only. When you look at it this way, getting another guard this year in addition to Bubba isn’t the craziest thing especially if Nelson likes what he sees from some of the five guys he has in the 6’7” and up club.
Frosh 6’4”, TBD Sophs 6’0”, 6’0”, 6’2”, 6’5”, 6’7” Jrs 6’7”, 6’10” Srs 6’4”, 6’5”, 6’8”, 6’8”

Are we giving up on Rabinovich or, better put, has he given up on us?
The last time we had no scholarship players under 6-0 was 2010-2011. Since then we've always had a starter listed at 5-10 or shorter (JB then AT then CG)

Cooper Creek, a 6'8" kid at Williston this year that can knock down 3's and play good defense/rebound...just sayin. I've emailed Kennedy about him....American and Colgate are interested.

RJ down in North Carolina, as we apparently focus now on Nolan Dorsey.

Dorsey seems to be able to do a little bit of everything. A 6’6” guy with that broad of a skill set could help any team. Sign me up.

VC says he's 6-4, PhenomHoop says he's 6-5 - and, as it so happens, we're not allowed to recruit anybody taller anyway.

Bucknell got a commitment today from 6-11, 239 lb Andre Screen. He had about 20 offers in the last ninety days, including from St. Joe's, URI, St. Bonaventure, George Mason . . . What's obtainable, for some.

I give Nelson a pass on the 2020s, given his late arrival. But we need to get to a different recruiting level pretty quickly, or we'll be looking up - literally and figuratively - at a number of our conference foes for a long time.

We have such a long way to go to catch up to the top programs in the league, it appears they are recruiting at a different level than we are.

Humphrey had offers from Kent State (MAC) and Cleveland State(Horizon)., among others. we have not gotten Dorsey, but he has 12 offers, inc New Mexico.and Air Force. seems like a decent level

Humphrey was being recruited by Carmody last summer (see p.3), so I'm pretty confident he can pass/dribble/shoot, fwiw. Dorsey (and many others we've offered this summer, who have so far chosen to go elsewhere) have nice offer sheets - hopefully, we can land one and get some size next year.

And who wasn't.

What seems to be the problem, why no big men interested in HC?

What seems to be the problem, why no big men interested in HC? Very frustrating. Why are we having so much trouble recruiting players with appropriate D1 center size? I mean not just tall, but strong too. Bucknell gets Foulland and now this guy who wasn't even on HC's radar? Year after year, same old thing in this department, same old excuses about how hard it is. Where are we going with a team of guards and small forwards? Who gets the rebounds?

Actually he played well for a couple of months from mid-May to mid-July, which led to him blowing up. His visits to MSM and Loyola were unofficial ones - and he also visited Virginia Tech, GWU, and Towson during the same period. Not sure how many OV's he took, but he certainly had the option to take ones at the A-10 schools. I think academics had more than a little to do with his ultimate list. He actually had 24 reported offers and 21 of those were between May 28th and July 17th. His rise was a bit similar - but more dramatic - than that of Nate Sestina, who went from zero offers to 12 offers in about three weeks.

In the short term, the hope is that Faw and Niego can become more formidable inside, and that one or more of the projects (Hargis, Verbeek, Sandy) can develop similarly.
I'm optimistic about our guard play going forward, but bigs win championships - need to find a way to compete with our PL brethren for them.

I think bigs allow you to compete, but guards win Championships
Floyd is a great example
