Kalif created a lot of buzz on the interweb during the Giants’ recent mini-camp. Here’s one blurb from NJ.com:
Everybody loves Raymond Score one for Kalif Raymond in the battle to be the No. 3 wide receiver. The Giants have a logjam behind Odell Beckham and Sterling Shepard, but Raymond found his way to first-team reps during Wednesday's practice. With Beckham sidelined, the Giants mostly have used Cody Latimer and/or Hunter Sharp with Shepard, but Raymond is making a move after establishing a rapport with Webb. "I'm getting comfortable," Raymond said. "There is always a chip on my shoulder to go out there and make plays. I know there was a pass I couldn't get to early in the practice, so I definitely wanted to show that that didn't affect me. Go out there and have a short-term memory and make plays."

IMHO, that is a positive sign both for Kalif and for the Giants' attitude in the coming season!

Some guy named “Odell” and Kalif split punt return duties at camp today. Pretty sure Kalif can beat him out for the gig.

Best compliment yet for Kalif. Someone confused him with Evan Engram.

From Newsday today:
At the risk of ignoring Shurmur’s rule against early evaluations, a few under-the-radar players who have stood out so far in training camp: WRs Amba Etta-Tawo and Kalif Raymond, DT A.J. Francis, CBs Kenneth Durden and Grant Haley.

From nj.com this morning:
Discussing players whose stock is "rising" or "falling," this blurb is in the "rising" section --
WR - Kalif Raymond Whether lining up on the outside, or in the slot, Kalif Raymond has blossomed into a favorite target of both Manning and Webb when he has been on the field. What will help Raymond's case in his quest to make the roster, is the fact that the Giants have used him returning punts at times during practice and will likely give him some opportunities to win that job during the exhibition slate.

From NJ.com:
Everybody loves Raymond Let's get this out of the way first: Yes, I've been waiting all camp to use that tag. Wide receiver Kalif Raymond is making a strong case to be on the 53-man roster as he is showing he is more than just a punt and kick returner. Raymond never stopped moving on a 55-yard throw on the run by quarterback Davis Webb a few days ago, and the Webb-Raymond connection continues to be strong. Raymond had two more catches downfield — one in between a double team of Grant Haley and Andrew Adams — and a short catch that he turned up-field with quickness. He is battling Roger Lewis, Hunter Sharp and Russell Shepard for the final two (maybe three) spots on the wide receiver depth chart.

As articulate as he is, KR has always given good interviews. He appears more poised than ever. Loved the references to Holy Cross in the interview with Kalif, especially to that Albany game with his big kick return.. I hope the recruits get to hear that.
