0-2-1 now after losing to URI 3-0 - outshot 15-4 Rams are very good with plenty of overseas talent but certainly was hoping to be more competitive

15 shots on goal in a soccer game breaks the previous world record of 6...... Actually 11 of the shots were on goal, which is a very high pct of shots to be on goal.

Rhode Island Soccer is off to a great season start as they are now 4-0. All the wins have been shutouts and they have scored 10 goals. The program has a long history of recruiting European and Caribbean talent. URI head coach, Gareth Elliott is himself an example of this as he came from Belfast in the north of Ireland to play for Rhody. The Rams current roster has five Norwegians, three Germans, two Austrians, and a player each from the Czech Republic and Bermuda. It also however has many local kids with six Rhode Islanders and three from nearby CT.

High quality result tonight with a 1-1 tie at BC. We scored on our only shot on goal of the game (i.e., BC goalie had zero saves). Our star frosh Becher scored our goal, his first of what we hope is a great career

Becher is no joke. Tonight’s draw is a very strong result.

At least we didn't lose to BC in this "futbol" game! Great come back and scoring percentage!

Tied UHart 2-2. Becher with both goals. Wish I watched but I went to see Crazy Rich Asians with my wife instead EDIT—That sounds like I wish I hadn’t gone to the movies with my wife. Not true.

Very tough loss last night at Northeastern who scored in the 110th minute (last of 2nd OT) to beat us 1-0 team is still looking for their first win of the season, record now 0-3-3 I watched most of the first half. I would say NU had more of the play than we did although we had several corner kicks and one very close chance. I knew the game was on because when I was scrolling through the channels around 6:00, I saw that it was scheduled to be on NESN. Unfortunately, the Sox--Yankees game had been postponed to the evening and pregame was on instead. I watched it off of the NU web site. EDIT: Here are the highlights We had some chances including one we put in the net but which resulted in an offside call. gonu.com/news/2018/9/18/mens-soccer-munchs-final-minute-header-lifts-nu-to-1-0-win.aspx

I was in the house for the second half and OT. Definitely had some good build up and chances, some just a pass too far, or a shot too wide. They had the chances to win, just had a defensive letdown on the goal.

Not a big follower of HC soccer but wasn't it not too long ago that Navy routinely beat us in soccer and perhaps we upset them first time ever 2-3 years ago?

Not a big follower of HC soccer but wasn't it not too long ago that Navy routinely beat us in soccer and perhaps we upset them first time ever 2-3 years ago? There was a short span, when Dave Brandt's great coaching improved the Navy program, during which HC struggled to beat them - but HC has had many wins over Navy over the years. I don't have time to check, but I know over the past 25 years that HC has won a lot more than they have lost vs Navy. Except for 2013 and 2014, Navy soccer has ranged from mediocre to awful. After Brandt left following the 2015 season, Navy soccer has had an overall PL record of 1-14-4.
