They seem to be trying to recruit taller players- they have had a very very small number of guards 6' or more...they are recruiting two in this class.

Davis had reported offers from at least UVM, UNH and SHU. Kudos to the Benzans for the assist. Now if they could only get their first team All-Ivy daughter to transfer from Harvard . . .

Looks like HC is raising the recruiting bar quite a bit this year in both men's and women's hoops.

Belated coverage of Janelle's decision: www.nwherald.com/2018/12/31/high-school-girls-basketball-insider-dundee-crowns-payton-schmidt-is-athlete-of-the-week/at7ed7v/Not an easy decision: Marian Central's Janelle Allen, a 6-foot-1 junior, had nine D-I offers, but it wasn't until she found Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, that she felt at ease. Allen, whose offers included Illinois State, Bradley, Alabama-Birmingham and St. Louis, said the process of choosing a school was difficult. She committed to Holy Cross before the start of the high school season. "It was definitely rough. It was a struggle, and it was frustrating," Allen said. "I know I wanted to play at the next level, and I love it out there. The coaches are nice, and everything is beautiful." Allen said she was looking to go out of state and preferred a smaller school. "Coming from a private school my whole life, it was easier to choose Holy Cross," Allen said. "It's a smaller school, but that part stuck out to me. The coaches and everyone there went above and beyond for me."

The fact that she selected HC over offers from A-10, ConfUSA and MVC schools is encouraging. Good talent... and good judgment😊. Welcome to HC this September Janelle.

Her MaxPreps page describes her as a Shooting Guard, but her size does suggest she could be a Wing/Forward.

Reading Addie’s twitter page there are multiple references to her being a W/F. Her height is listed as 6’2”. Colgate offered last November.

Her MaxPreps page describes her as a Shooting Guard, but her size does suggest she could be a Wing/Forward. If she truly ends up as a SG in the PL, I think she will be the first player of that height to play that position. Without having ever seen her play, I would definitely bet on forward.
