Let me try to help you, Bill Carmody Because having four kids kicked off the team, being under .500 in each season, and having an overall record of 42-56 (22-32) has been so great.

You must have forgotten the PLC and NCAA win.

Selective perception in action.
Remember that for some posters improvement or success do not exist unless they are immediate and then maintained. That is not true in the real world where success may take time to build. However, in the world of CROSSPORTS such a high bar with an unrealistic time frame seems to be the standard for some. This is hard to say after an overall record for 2017-2018 that was most disappointing across the board but, after decades of mediocrity, patience may be needed to get a true measure of the performance of ADNP.

Credit to Carmody for that magical run in his first season.
Care to address the myriad of other issues?

And hiring a former Big 10 coach who was out of work, getting up there in years, volunteering as an assistant at Fairfield and most likely never going to get another head coaching opportunity like the one at Holy Cross is not exactly executing a skillful search and recruitment of a candidate. Nate may know how to work a room at alumni functions and NCAA conventions, but he is in over his head when it comes to actually making decisions relating to sports and coaching.

What "myriad" is that? Are you referring to the good crop of recruits he brought in last year?
As to players who were put off the team, I do not know enough of the actual facts behind the events to make any comment. I choose not to spread rumors and gossip under the pretext of "inside information." I do feel sad for the players involved over the last four seasons and I would certainly hope the two incidents do not see a repeat. I do feel that disciplining a player or players shows strong standards of behavior on the part of the coach and school. That can be a good thing. After all, there are many schools where almost anything does not bring on more than a slap on the wrist...if you can score.

Credit to Carmody for that magical run in his first season. Care to address the myriad of other issues? It's only "selective perception" if you judge Carmody based on his total body of work at HC, including his record, significant disciplinary issues, and poor job of managing the roster. It's not selective perception if you just cling on to 4 games in March of 2016 as your only evidence of Carmody doing a good job. Follow that logic?

You must have forgotten the PLC and NCAA win. We had a magical run. We’ve yet to have a good basketball team for a sustained period. A trend nearly as alarming as his ability to keep players on the team.

This was the post to which I responded. "Because having four kids kicked off the team, being under .500 in each season, and having an overall record of 42-56 (22-32) has been so great" Do you see any mention there os the PL title, the NCAA win or last year's recruiting class? Taking only the answers to the original post and ignoring the "selective perception" it showed might be seen as a bit of "selective perception" on your part. Follow that logic?

Credit to Carmody for that magical run in his first season. Care to address the myriad of other issues? Any coach must take responsibility for both the good and bad. In your original post You had failed to mention the good.
