FWIW, the Chiefs OL starters all played all 56 offensive snaps so I don’t think Jimmy got any run but he’s on the doorstep.

Any chance he played on special teams?

Big game for the Chiefs tonight. Jimmy got his first live action last week, playing 4 snaps on special teams. He is listed as the third center on the depth chart so there would seemingly need to be multiple OL injuries or a blowout in order for him to play beyond special teams.

Hey, he’s collecting an NFL paycheck. Not too many crusaders have done that.

3 years + 3 games is the magic formula because it equals lifetime pension and healthcare

Hey, he’s collecting an NFL paycheck. Not too many crusaders have done that. Amen. I wasn’t criticizing. Just reporting where he stands on the 53 man. I’d gladly switch jobs with him if someone could guarantee my safety.

1. I know you weren't criticizing and I wasn't being critical of you (at least not intentionally), I was simply reinforcing how great this is for Jimmy that he is able to accomplish something very few former HC athletes have been able to do, play the game they love at the highest professional level.
2. Did you, or anyone else, see the 60 Minutes story Sunday night on former NFLer, Tim Green. He was playing for Syracuse when we lived up there and he was/is such a smart person and monster on the field and now has an ALS death sentence that he attributes to playing football admitting that he always led with his head on tackles. Tragic though he said that knowing everything he knows now, he'd still do what he did.

May not be but he thinks it is. I had a secretary many years ago who never had any head trauma that they were aware of but had ALS and died from it (of course). It seems to be the exact opposite of Alzheimer's where the body functions and the mind goes. ALS, the body goes while the brain functions. Both terrible.

I have never been aware of any causal link between ALS and a brain trauma.

What a great guy, still coaching the Skaneateles bantam team, even with his ALS.

And he was and is a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde. Off the field, the nicest guy and very cerebral. On the field he was a monster/animal.

Yes, there's no link that's been proven between brain trauma and ALS.
However, something on the order of 1 in 50,000 Americans will get the disease and it seems like statistically there are more former NFL people that have it (or died from it) than that. So maybe a link will be found at some point.
