Not a surprise and consistent with prior posts and links. Maybe he can catch on somewhere else? Hey how about the Giants so he can throw to Kalif and they can get rid of Webb.

Agreed, it is not a surprise. We’ve had a few other pretty good HC-level quarterbacks over the last 50 years. And I can’t recall any making it to the NFL as QBs.

Ciaccio was in camp with the Cardinals as a free agent. Dom was in camp with the Giants as a free agent. I don’t know if Wiley or Muldoon was in a camp. Definitely a long shot to make it but you never know. Sometimes a vet gets hurt or traded during camp and one of these UDFA QBs sticks. Let’s hope it works out for Peter.

The open style of the CFL might suit him.

And star HC QB Lentz made it to the AFL (not NFL) and not as a QB in any case Again, expecting PP to do what none of our quarterbacks have done (at least over the last 50+ years) - make it as an NFL QB- Is really a very very long shot. To put it mildly.

Tommy Greene played in the AFL for the boston Patriots in 1960 and the Dallas Texans in 61. Only NFL QB was Bill Joyce for the Detroit Heralds in 1920

Not discouraged that he's not projected for the 53. Practice squad (there or elsewhere) always has been the ceiling IMO.

I watched the game last week to see if Peter would get in at the end of the game. The back-up competition is clearly between Simiean and Sloter. Early in fourth quarter Sloter got dinged up and even the announcers made a comment that Pujols could come into the game - Simiean had already played. Knowing he was in a competition with Simiean and knowing this was one of the few chances he was going to get, Sloter was not going to come out of he game. It was clearly noticeable that he was struggling. Give credit to the kid for sticking in there. He actually lead them to a touchdown at the end of the game. Any chance Peter was going to get last week slipped away.

Not out of the realm of possibility that Vikes could trade one of their backup QBs and create an opportunity for Peter if he’s doing well in camp.

Vikes have named Siemian as second string QB. Now that there is no longer a competition with Sloter and they want to keep Siemian healthy, maybe Sloter will play the first half and Peter can get some action in the second half on Thursday.

Peter got into the game tonight- 1 for 1 for 8 yards - a 100 QB rating I think this was better than Dominic Randolph who never got into a preseason game with the Giants
