Is there a football coach's show this week?
Or a season preview with Chesney?
Would love to hear his thoughts heading into the season.

Don't think the first coach's show happened last year until week four or five. Would be very unfortunate if that was the case again this year.
Bring back the weekly show with Fouracre that focuses exclusively on football.

Yes - Dick is hosting. He's feeling good and should be at mic for all the 16 shows sked for this yr.

Actp Do you know if Ches will be on each week ? He won't be on every week, certainly not after FB season wraps up, but there will be a heavy dose of Ches throughout the season.

Glad that got rid of that marketing guy from out of town who must have come up with the Compass Tavern idea!

Is this a kick-off thing? or will it be Tuesdays on campus at 8:00 all year (vs Thursdays at Compass Tavern at 7:00) Wild speculation on my part, but if this is a permanent move, I'm guessing the Compass Tavern has chosen not to be an advertiser on HC sports this year

Regarding the reference being made to the “marketing guy from out of town”. He came to HC from a power 5 FBS school, and was brought in to provide insight on how a Division 1 conference school should operate in promoting the brand in the 21st century in relation to their peers.
He moved on to another University in 2016, whose basketball team has been a consistent top 20 team over the last several years. As noted in another thread, a recent HC Athletic staffer who has moved to a higher profile Division 1 position. He was recently promoted and given additional responsibilities at his new school.

To answer some of the above questions & speculation:
-time and location change is permanent.
-decision to have shows at Compass had nothing to do with 'EEI or past HC marketing guy (who by the way left on his own volition for a school with a prominent MBB program), but rather the Crusader Sports Properties who threw a bone to advertiser that had sufficient space to set up equipment.

So, for any of us who have chosen not to join Facebook, no video streaming available on Stadium? I know the youngins are big on Facebook but as we've stated on many threads before, the HC fan base is aging (I like to think I bring the average age down ), so for some, this would be a step back. I am also outside the range of 1440 AM and would have to hunt and get the internet connection to just hear the audio.

Thanks, ACTP, I might have exaggerated a bit with the term "hunt," as I know I could locate it. Just disappointed not to see video as well as audio. Any insights as to why the change? Cost savings? Athletic department oversight (like the lack of bus to BC game . . . .too little, too late)? And, 87, I may be a smidgeon past middle age but I watch Seth Meyers who periodically has a bit on "teen slang" that helps educate me.

Is the show available anywhere?
Doesn't look like there is anything on the HC or WEEI website.
In a day and age where anyone with a recording device and voice can set up a podcast that is automatically pushed to subscribers' devices, it's amazing that HC still hasn't found a way to distribute these coaches shows to people who don't listen live.

Check Holy Cross Athletics on Facebook. I imagine it's on Twitter too, but I didn't check.

A bit of a tangent from finding archived shows, but does anyone know how many students were hanging around Crossroads for the show? In all fairness, most kids were probably getting a slice of pizza, but hopefully stayed on a bit after finishing their snack

Audio file should be up on WEEI.com soon. I will post link when it is. HC also has the audio file. Never been on facebook in my life, so everyone is on their own for video.
Was a couple dozen students who were actively engaged with the show last nite, plus the usual large # of kids in and out, also a handful of FB players and more Men's soccer and Women's players who came out to support their respective coaches and players. Lively atmosphere, and all involved parties are initially pleased with the change in venue & time.
