Two down, one to go (based on Scott James' tweets yesterday.

Duchemin is a classic WR and CB. Interested to see how they use him. I think he might be an excellent kick returner, which is an area that was a bit shaky last season.

While TE, DL and K remain areas of need, the coaching staff might be of the “best available player” mindset in filling these last couple of spots because there simply aren’t enough quality prospects remaining at those positions in this class of recruits.

Or - they know something we don't regarding kids possibly not coming back in the fall.

Nice to get a commitment from one of Mass's better high school programs; hopefully there'll be some luck at CM and Xaverian (although they had a bad year this year) in the future.

Or - they know something we don't regarding kids possibly not coming back in the fall. You may be correct. Given that several underclassmen, and in particular Chesney’s freshmen recruiting class, saw a fair amount of playing time last year, some of the others on the current roster might be reconsidering their status on the team and some may have decided that the grind that is required to remain on the team is no longer worth it if they are unlikely to see any meaningful action going forward and Chesney has indicated a preference to move forward with “his guys.”

Chesney and staff one, are master recruiters and two, know how to divide scholarships and get depth in.

Agree on both counts. So with 24 kids coming in and 21 coming off it means at least 3 kids on current roster won't be here next year. Could be more with still 8 days left till signing day.

I’m hearing that one of the final recruits in this class will be a QB.

Final recruit weekend before Signing Day is coming up.
Two commitments signaled by Coach James not yet announced.
Sitting on the edge of my seat.

Sorry, I do not.
Although I frequently post about various tweets, I am not on Twitter. Consequently, I cannot see who our coaches might be "following." I suspect they may be following potential recruits, and posters who are on Twitter may be able to get some hints by seeing who the coaches are following.

I can add that out of 160 known offers, there are currently about 17 who have not yet committed to a school. (I say about 17 because it is possible that there are a couple of recruits who committed to another school and then de-committed and reopened their recruiting, but I may not be aware of it.) It does appear that most (if not all) of those 17 uncommitted recruits (based on Twitter posts) are either [1] no longer interested in Holy Cross, or [2] no longer of interest to the HC coaching staff based on HC's needs being fulfilled by commitments already received (e.g., offensive linemen, wide receivers, or linebackers).

Possibly QB name - Matt Sluka. Played at Peddie this year, but from NY. Followed by James and Chesney recently.

I believe that Chesney would not allow that with Spring Practice at the same time
