The 'pards were the other PL school to go through 2017-18 without a single team having a winning record. If it wasn't for them, HC would be squarely at the bottom of the rankings (among the 5 all sports schools). Two years ago they commissioned a group to study how Lafayette can escape from the 2 decade malaise of terrible results on the playing fields. Well, the results (or at least an outline of a strategy) apparently are going public this Thursday. I would agree, they have to do something to regain some respect. goleopards.com/news/2018/9/19/2018TownHall.aspx

If you go to the Lafayette sports message board, it's a fascinating read. A passionate, dedicated fanbase yearning for a winner and deeply disenchanted with the decisions of the stewards.

It's a lengthy read, but basically Lafayette seems to have had enough with the poor results and are investing $ and resources in becoming relevant in the PL. As I have pointed out, among the five 'all sports - original members' HC and the 'pards have been at the bottom of most league standings, with HC edging them out in most cases. With the smallest enrollment (although increasing gradually), it will be interesting to see how this works out for them. By the way, they have a new AD who has been on the job for about 9 months. sites.lafayette.edu/climb-the-hill/

Their sports complex is really nice. They have the best football stadium in the PL. Their gym, while not great, has been remodeled (with video), and the building is pretty new and impressive. Maybe they will now concentrate on the other sports... don't know what they are planning.

All things considered I'll take Goodman over Fisher. Much nicer surroundings (love the hill "seating"), better parking lot,
