Hoops is absolutely correct. For those who think there is talent on this team please name who you think will be named all PL selections (other than Brady at LB). Cozier has an outside chance at 2nd team but my guess would be no Crusaders on the all PL offensive teams. You're not winning with that. It is pretty apparent the cupboard was close to bare (relative to our scheduled opponents) when the enormous senior class graduated (after going 4-7 in consecutive years)...and those of us closely eyeballing the recruits the last few years knew our overall talent/experience level on the field would be lower this year than last. If you are 4-7 for two consecutive years and your talent/experience level is lower this year...it is hard to predict a record better than 4-7 (especially with a somewhat tougher schedule) with a straight face.
I read some rather complicated explanations as to why we had so little contributions from our frosh and sophomores last year. Talented frosh and sophs can do great things in the PL. Those are our sophomores and juniors now.
No doubt our talent level contributes to our W-L record and number of all-PL selections.
Of course there are other factors that go into a W-L record.

Well its official. Headbands, and camo hats at the last two games. No BOBBLEHEADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the garbage you give me. Been to every home game and I get a lousy headband. Socks at the Bucknell game. Youth footballs at the Dartmouth game. A bag to carry on your back at the Yale game. Harvard gave me a free Gameday Program and it was the team book. Step up the promotions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, they are free. I would’ve like the socks but forgot to get them.
As for Harvard, meh! What free stuff did you get under the Regan years? Bobble heads are expensive. Whose likeness would you like? Pujals? Wade? Brady? Bell?

My heartfelt and sincere apologies to TCIB. I initially saw his post on my iPhone and did not see his avatar. Having seen it now, I totally understand his upset at no bobbleheads! WE WANT BOBBLE HEADS! WE WANT BOBBLE HEADS! WE WANT BOBBLE HEADS!

If everything goes just right I think six teams can be tied for second at the end of the season. Glory!

It is time for a Bill Osmanski bobblehead, and it may be a bit too soon for Dom Randolph (IMHO he will be there eventually).

We have a Kalif Raymond bobblehead which was a giveaway at a game, so not too early for a Don Randolph one. Agree it seems like an awfully expensive giveaway. Good quality too. Was surprised we got one.

Good point, Joe. I forgot about the KR bobblehead. I still think Bill Osmanski would be a good choice.

Interesting quote from Coach Chesney (from a post by Jen Toland) "Holy Cross coach Bob Chesney thought his team took a step forward in last Friday night’s loss at Harvard. The Crusaders matched a season high with 31 points and led the Crimson in the fourth quarter before Harvard’s Jake McIntyre booted the winning 25-yard field goal as time expired. “We were close,” Chesney said, “but close doesn’t get you much. One thing we said to this team at the end was we left things out there, but our fight for each other was pretty evident. They fought for each other all day long.”

How about a Dan Adams bobblehead? I would immediately cancel all plans for that Saturday. If running late, would consider wearing a diaper for the white-knuckler of a drive up CT15-91/84.
Maybe the weakest Harvard team we've played since Tom Gilmore was a DC at Lehigh but if the close loss motivates us to destroy Lehigh next week with an extra 7 days of prep, I'll take it.

Tempted to go all 4 which would have matched my preseason 4-2; 5-6 prediction...but went with 3 as we'll probably trip up somewhere along the line.

I'd love to hear some narrative from those who are predicting zero wins Well, the six who predicted zero wins are out of the running now. The new BMW will be going to someone else.

As it stands now we have 17 posters who are correct, with the three wins, but I think we're going to get that fourth win that only 7 of 38 posters predicted.

Not me...I said I believed we could win 4, but thought something would happen to prevent it - so I picked 3. I am thrilled to be wrong!

As one of the seven, I had faith in the kids and the coach that they had made progress over the course of the season. Too bad about Bucknell, but on to next year.

I guess that'd be me since I posted ("you can look it up" as Casey used to say): Of course thinking Lehigh would be our toughest remaining opponent missed by a mile. Hey, even Jeanne Dixon made a couple of correct predictions.
