Colgate up 41-0 over Fordham with 8 minutes to go. Lehigh up 45-17 over Bucknell with under min to go. HOLY CROSS backing up the bus.

Good sportsmanship (not going for the chippie field goal).

Also, very odd to see how many blowouts have been taking place across the Patriot League this season - Doesn't seem like there have been very many close ones this year.

I am looking forward to the Fordham game (senior day) next week! Today is HC's first road win of the year.

With the improvement that is evident in line play and our defense, it seems that the coaches are doing a good job...perhaps even getting to understand FCS football. The offense seems to. be exactly what some folks have wanted to see. Think the coaches read CROSSPORTS? If that is the explanation, we are in real trouble. If the coaches (including the OC) are just getting the players together (which Believe is the case), HC is in good shape for the rest of the year and into next season. Start attacking right from the get go on O and HC should be fine and not so predictable at the start. Nice recovery today!!

Our loss to Bucknell is looking more and more ridiculous as Lehigh rolls up the score on the Bisons.

At the start of the game the announcers were all about the Pards getting their third PL win and then beating Lehigh in the final to get a PL record of 4-2 and a possible 2nd or 3rd place finish. I guess that is out the window.
How many All-PL Spots will HC get this week?

All three winning teams pinned 40 or more points on their opponents. Great come back win for HC. I remember going into halftime down 21 at Lafayette in '06 and then coming back to win that game - I think that's my all-time favorite win from my time at Holy Cross. I believe it had been 10 years since we had won at Lafayette at that point.

Folks, we have a football team. A great coach. Is there any doubt that the future looks bright? LoveHC I think a great coach is defined by consistency - I hope to see more of the same moving forward.

Our loss to Bucknell is looking more and more ridiculous as Lehigh rolls up the score on the Bisons. The Bucknell QB who played very well against us was injured a week or two ago, and Bucknell has really felt his absence.

Geoff Wade was 14 for 18 for 275 yards and 2 TD passes. That's pretty impressive

Probably my last comment on the game.
Martin Dorsey has made so many acrobatic catches for big gains, first downs and unbelievable touchdowns. He did that today too but he dropped an easy TD pass and all I could think was:
"Can I move?" from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. If you forgot the scene:

As the announcers said, this is the second great game Wade has had against Lafayette @ Easton. IIRC, the announcers said in the two games, he is 28 for 35.
Two years ago, with about as many starts as PP, Wade had a higher QB rating than PP. Based on that, I had little doubt that Wade was more than just capable.
Today was a return to the HC offense that most of the offensive starters are familiar with, and which suits their talent level and skills. There is not a QB on the roster who was recruited to run the RPO. IMO, the RPO should never have been installed as the primary offense.
In retrospect, the fixation with the RPO probably cost HC a win against Bucknell, and, with it, Chesney's chance to be a winner in the first year in each of his three head coaching jobs. Glad to see the offense finally call a play where Bell throws the ball. Should have been a TD. Was the second long pass that was dropped in short succession I guess dropping the easy ones evens out the acrobatic catches.
All three teams (O, D, and ST) played very well. Surprised Ng missed a PAT though; it was with the wind.

I’m also encouraged by today’s performance but let’s remember who the opponent was The pards will need our prayers next week when they play at army. The cadets could score 100 if they want to. Laf might be beat up for their finale vs. Lehigh

I only caught part of the second half of the game today, but the offense tempo seemed to be more alike what we ran with Randolph at the helm, no huddle almost a hurry up with a lot of play calling and audibles on the line. “New York” the bread and butter.
