Here are HC's upcoming opponents/possible opponents - all rated above SHU (with their point spread vs HC): 5 Michigan (1-0) favored by 26 (75-49 - 97%) 46 Providence (1-0) favored by 15 (72-57 - 90%) 138 Harvard (1-0) favored by 10 (67-57 - 81%) 174 Albany (0-0) favored by 7 (69-62 - 72%) 182 Stony Brook (1-0) favored by 3 (66-63 - 59%) 300 Siena (0-1) HC favored by 2 (67-65 - 56%) 325 Norfolk State (0-1) HC favored by 5 (68-63 - 67%) If HC is 2-5 at the end of this 6 game string of games, it is realistic...but I am hoping for an upset or two. For comparison - 327 Sacred Heart (0-1)

Favorites after 1 or no games are somewhat meaningless, esp when teams are ranked relatively close.

Is "somewhat meaningless" anything like being "a little pregnant?" A dose of reality can always be a good thing. How many games do you see before the spreads take on greater meaning? [IMO, I would say about 7-8 games.]

Considering many teams play opponents with rankings much different from their own in OOC games, I would put the number more like 10-12

Harvard, Albany, and Stony Brook games should tell us a lot about our team. 2 wins would be very good and 3 would be outstanding in my opinion

PC up 16 at half. Their star frosh Reeves had 29 with 7 threes not a bad career opener

GW is off to a brutal start. Today they lost at home to a mediocre Siena team that was picked for last in the official MAAC preseason poll.

Maybe Siena is also a little better than the coaches gave then credit for in the preseason poll; they gave Providence a half decent game. And maybe Boals has Stony Brook pointed in the right direction as well. Not saying GW is good.
Next weekend might be pretty competitive down at Mohegan.

Mid-Atlantic Christian??? Norfolk State won 108-50 , outrebounded the Mustangs 62-39. MAC had 24 turnovers, shot 4/25 on threes and 13/42 on twos. In its prior game MAC lost 110-58 to Hampton......

Having Jamion Christian as their coach instead of Patsos is a major upgrade. During his tenure at Bucknell under Flannery - which was his first D1 job - Jamion was very impressive,
