Attended a funeral and celebration for Frank today. A friend for the last 45 plus years, Frank was the track coach at Malloy until 1969, and AD at Georgetown until 1999. Along with Gavitt, Frank was one of the creators of the Big East and considered The Godfather of Athletics at Georgetown. Given his contributions and commitment to student athletes I thought I would share with this group that loves college sports, especially at HC.
He had had a special fondness for our school and was an enormous fan of George Blaney
the Church was filled with current and former players representing all of the sports-men and women— a nice tribute to a life well lived!

He coached my brother in law at Molloy in Queens in the late 60s. Was a legend, extremely successful and loved by his runners.
