Why can’t Butler make a layup ? He’s abt 1 of his last 18 going back to Saturday 2-20

Why can’t Butler make a layup ? He’s abt 1 of his last 18 going back to Saturday When he is under the boards for a layup/put back it seems like he is a 6'0" guy easily distracted by longer and taller opponents...and he rushes it (I know he is listed at 6'5'"). I like him and he is a hustler with a good shot...but he is not the top athlete out there and that's what it takes to score on the inside v PC.

Grandison powers up for another. This is the way we need to play. HC, 37-33 at the half.

The broadcast is coming through on Compuserve #214. I had a great view of many missed HC inside shots.
Butler is a legit 6'4" (not 6'5" IMHO and clearly not 6'0").

Good first half. Same position as Michigan game. Have to come out and play tougher than PC in second half. Floyd needs to learn how to stay in these games. Butler is a concern. He is terrible inside 5 feet, needs to start shooting from outside.

We missed a lot of layups, not only Butler

Floyd's foul trouble has limited him to just two points in eight minutes. We've played quite well without him.
Benzan has been quietly impressive - 4p, 3a, 2st, 2r, 0 to in 17 minutes.

Floyd needs to learn how to stay in these games. Butler is a concern. On the other hand, with these two playing so poorly, we have to be happy about how the other guys are stepping up. Grandy was terrfic.
Butler needs space to shoot from deep - he's not getting it.

Are we forcing any of their turnovers, or are they just being sloppy?

-We should win this game. Providence is a disaster and playing right into HC’s hands.
-Grandison is our best wing player and should be the focus of the offense from the start of the game - not Butler, who shouldn’t be allowed to try and drive from the 3 point line to the rim unless we are playing Sacred Heart again.
-Niego is our best 4-man by far and, again, should be in there and getting the ball from the start of the game.
-Providence was attacking the offensive glass early - will need to rebound and minimize second chance points in the 2nd half.
-Only having one guy who can play in the paint (Floyd) is a recipe for disaster.
-Start Green, Benzan, Grandison, Niego, and Floyd in the 2nd half, and make sure Floyd is getting support when the guy he’s guarding has the ball down low - can’t leave him isolated to pick up more fouls.

Are we forcing any of their turnovers, or are they just being sloppy? About half and half. We have six steals, Benzan reading passes well.

Are we forcing any of their turnovers, or are they just being sloppy? We have caused some, they have also been careless on others. Providence has 32 turnovers through their first 2 games

Butler with another miss on a drive off the break - but picked up the foul. We've been aggressive.

Butler gets flustered down low trying to shoot, then finds Niego underneath for a lay-n. Niego looks smooth as silk.
Faw with a three. HC, 46-39 1m to go.
