-KenPom has Rutgers at #110 and predicts a 12-18 season, including 5-15 in the Big 10. I'll bet anyone on this board a week's pay that Rutgers doesn't get five B1G wins.
Rutgers has fellow winless in league Northwestern(twice), Penn state(twice) and Illinlis(once) as their best chances for wins. They have lost to Michigan. State by 11 and at Wisconsin by 5. decent showings.

State by 11 and at Wisconsin by 5. decent showings. We'll have to follow this as a study in probabilities. Rutgers, according to KenPom, is 50% to beat Minnesota in a Rutgers home game. Rutgers is the underdog in all other Big 10 games. However, there are 8 of those games where Rutgers is given a 32% to 45% chance to prevail. KenPom added up the probabilities of all of the remaining 18 games and came up with 5.04 wins (if I added correctly).

Penn breaks Nova’s 25 straight win streak in the Big 5, 78-75 Penn adds this to a win over Miami As I posted attendance numbers for UPenn's other home games this year, attendance for Villanova was a bit over 8,000, about 700 fewer than capacity.

Fordham comes back to earth after their win over Rutgers with a loss at home to NJIT 53-50 Watched some of that game. Fordham is painful to watch. How bad is Rutgers?? The announced attendance at the Fordham/NJIT game was 1766. That is a total joke. Watching it on tv there looked like there might be 200 people in the stands. The whole lower level behind each of the benches was virtually empty. This was on a fine night weather wise.

Give Fordham a break. You make it sound as if it is located in a big city high density population area.

I've met Cooley and is a gentleman. That said, I hope he has a similar experience tomorrow afternoon. In real time the last play looked like a foul; have a feeling after Cooley saw the film he wasn't that upset. I'd rather Providence had won but it would have been a crappy way to win.

Dartmouth students are off the entire month of December, so there are absolutely no students anywhere near Hanover. Given Dartmouth's mediocre program, I doubt there is much local interest either. It's been many years since they even averaged 1000 fans per game. Having said that, it looked like the numbers were very low even by Dartmouth standards. Looked like Cotterell on a bad night.

Tough loss for the league. Big Green win 78-68 despite BU shooting 53 pct from the field including 35 pct from 3

According to Pakachoag Phreek's post in another thread, Dartmouth only averaged 868 per game last season. There were only four other schools in New England that had lower attendance. BU was one of them at 694 (others were UNH, Bryant, and Sacred Heart). Given the game was between two of the region's bottom attendance schools that took place in the state (NH) where college basketball appears to be least followed, a small crowd would be expected.

Are you familiar with the annual Big Five series in Philly ? I would hope so: growing up on the Main Line, not very far from Villanova. In high school I used their library. I also posted the attendance of UPenn @ LaSalle this year, which was anemic.

Anyone starved for some Worcester area basketball should check out the WPI men's team. They're 8-0 and fun to watch. They have no seniors and only one junior on the team! Playing Husson tomorrow at 1.
