I guess even golf has a NLI.

No sports specified, but this is a special one for me, as my granddaughter and grandson attend the Lower School at Oak Knoll.

I guess even golf has a NLI. Does it? We know the Williams kid is not signing a National Letter of Intent so how do we know the HC kid is?

No sports specified, but this is a special one for me, as my granddaughter and grandson attend the Lower School at Oak Knoll. Most of them are lacrosse, including the HC and Bucknell signees.

More:
(Note -- I recognize that in some instances this may not be an actual NLI if not athletic scholarship is involved, but I'm happy to see the kids have this experience of announcing their commitment to their school.)

I just find it difficult to judge how HC teams are going when I can't tell for sure if the teams have scholarship money or not. I suspect some have just enough to allow parents to tell people their kids received athletic scholarships.

We know there is no money for baseball and golf at HC so those kids are committing as 'recruited athletes' and of course might be getting some need-based aid.
Lafayette basically has an in-house tv network and their site already has videos and interviews of various recruits and coaches. They are trying to bring their program up to league standards (we know that's not very high but they've been lagging for a long time). They've been in our rear-view mirror for awhile and let's hope we can, at least stay ahead of them in most sports

And more: Looks like this is the second volleyball commit from California. Why are we recruiting at Serra High School? What kind of athletes come out of such a place? Jim Fregosi Lynn Swann Gregg Jeffries Barry Bonds Tim Brady to name a few.....

Sometimes it's good to remember that the Holy Cross teams that we root for and support are composed of individual athletes who commit countless hours to preparation, training, and competing for alma mater.
Looking forward to the football early signing day -- only 5 weeks away.

breezy, thanks for your tweeter diligence.
A note on golf. Several years ago, there was a NLI signing of a golfer to Holy Cross. IIRC, he was from the Midwest, and I thought that's kind of strange, that a golfer from that part of the country would sign up for HC... A bit more research, and the golfer was indeed signing for Holy Cross, the one in Indiana,.

Not sure why it would be weird for a golfer from the Midwest to come to HC. We currently have a kid from IL on team in addition to FL. Have had kids from all over.

Nice to see Holy Cross listed on the roll call for Bergen County, NJ LOIs. Perhaps soon we will see some big names here as well: Isabel Castagnetti (soccer) from Lyndhurst DJ Kelly (lacrosse) from Bergen Catholic Many recruits signing for PL rivals. Lafayette had the most (lax = 3 / swimming = 3) Bergen Catholic big man Zach Freemantle signed for Xavier.
