S Florida played better, especially defensively the last 10 min, Raiders went cold and Richardson seemed to press once Burns was shut down

KenPom had American with a 76% chance of winning that home game. AU took 30 free throws but had no luck from the field and Wagner had 9 more FGA. Wagner got those extra scoring chances largely by crashing the offensive boards, snaring 35% of their own misses. They may not be a very good team, but they are among the best in the country in OR%. No, Wagner is not good. But after coming into the game shooting 29 percent on threes and 66 percent from the line, they made 5 of 14 threes (37 percent) against us and 19 of 22 (86 percent) from the line against us. It happens. And, they play hard. Good lesson for us going forward. I'll keep rolling with our guys.

All Patriot league teams leading at this point. How many can hold on to win?
Army, Holy Cross, and Loyola have won
Add Lehigh, BU, and Bucknell to the win column
Can Navy beat Brown?

If they missed one of those made threes they would have been at their 29 % average

Bucknell keeps LaSalle winless, 92-79. Sestina with 24 and 6. This game had 55 fouls and 67 free throws. Sounds like an awful game to watch based on the box score.

We shot 61 percent from the floor and made 10 of 24 threes. Didn't turn St. Francis over a lot; just executed the offense as well as we have in a long, long time. Mark Gasperini with his best game since missing all of last season (concussion), with 14 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists.

All PL teams were on the road tonight - managed to 2 wins - Navy over Delaware 80-65 and Colgate over Columbia 64-62 in addition to Lehigh's loss in New Haven by 10, Loyola lost at Drexel 95-86 and Laf collected a check on their way to the bus after 90-63 loss to UConn
Actually a respectful night, I'd say

Yes not fun to watch, other than the score. Bucknell had six players sit out in the first half due to foul trouble. In the final minutes of that half, the entire roster was either in the game, sitting due to foul trouble, or not dressed due to injury. They ended up with five players with 4 fouls and two more with three. Fouls in the first half were 16 for Bucknell vs 9 for La Salle, despite the Explorers trapping a lot and playing more aggressively on defense. Total fouls actually were 56. The box score you saw may have been an early one that was missing a foul.

Laffy got spanked today by a weak Qpac team. Their fans love the coach and insist he is the greatest but the Leopards have been irrelevant for a couple decades. They were a dangerous team when I was a youngster. Loyola has not competed since joining the league. Their coach at the time said the majority of his kids then were academic risks and maybe they still have not been able to adjust to the league standards. Maybe Fordham will play b-ball in the league. That would be a good addition. There has not been a huge upset win by a league team yet this year but the top six teams should make for an interesting PL battle. Colgate made a game of it at Penn State today. I still count on HC, Gate and Lehigh to be the class of the league. The idea of Colgate being decent has taken some getting used to.

They were a dangerous team when I was a youngster. If you look at the Lafayette message board, O'Hanlon has had little support in recent years. He has generally not done a good job, and the many posts indicate that most want him fired or retired. As for relevancy, I think you overstate a bit. They lost in the PL championship game in both 2011 and 2013, and then they won it in 2015. The only PL team to make the final more than three times over that span is Bucknell, and only Lehigh has matched Lafayette.

Patriot League now ranked #20 in Pomeroy Now #19. Based on the conferences I consider mid-major and low-major, they are #8 out of 22. The only better finish ever was in 2013 - 17th - but that was largely a function of two teams: Bucknell #58 and Lehigh #91.
