Two Sunday afternoon games during football season not the way to encourage casual fan attendance I wil have add idiom to make and I've had season tickets for 40 years I doubt that we had a choice on either of those dates. is NE still playing out the season ? and what is "add idiom " ? Possum can answer, of course, but I'll play detective and guess that "autocorrect" misinterpreted a minor typo and turned the intended "a decision" to make into "add idiom" to make.

Sunday games also not the best for riling up students' attendance. Saturday evenings are best, and then everyone can go out afterwards.

Will it be ready for the Assumption exhibition ? Four possibilities: 1.) Seats at upper and court levels are available.. 2.) Only court level seating is available. 3.) No public attendance. 4.) Game played at Assumption. A waiver could probably be granted for the special circumstances, but I don't think a D-I school is allowed to travel to a D-II school - even for an exhibition. Coach Gibbons was going to do it some years back and found out it was against NCAA rules

As of now, yes. However, if New England wins their first two or three games, Goodell will likely suspend more players

Please correct me if I am wrong, but is this the earliest release of both the Men's and Women's basketball schedule in the last 40 years?
Can anyone recall a release in July? In the past it seems we had to wait until after Labor Day.

Was also told that the construction Web cam got zapped by lighting the other day and went down.

Semi serious question: when priority recruits make their visits in September, do you think they will be able to take hard hat tours of the new facilities? This is a real big recruiting year, where I feel we need to pull out all the stops to hit a couple of home runs.

Great question: I'd bet that such a "behind the scenes" tour would be a great selling vehicle for landing recruits and I have to think that we will use this to advantage.

Colgate gets a game at Penn State somewhat surprisingly, no PL Pennsylvania teams got a PSU game didn't Bucknell usually play them, Bison ? Bucknell has played PSU over 100 times over the years, but there have been a number of phases. Prior to WW2, the two teams would occasionally play. From 1945 through 1971, they played twice a year (home and home) every year. Then for about five years, they played once a year at alternating sites. In about 1976, PSU decided they were too good to travel the 60 miles to Lewisburg occasionally. Given the short distance and the fact the PSU was a very mediocre program with no basketball tradition, Charlie Woollum refused to play them if they wanted all home games. So the two didn't play for the next 15 years. When Flannery took over, he agreed to travel to PSU each year and the series resumed for about a decade. Then with Bucknell adding scholarships in 2003-04 and looking like they would be very good in 2004-05, suddenly PSU couldn't find room on the schedule for the game, even at State College. I believe they played one time in 2007 and then not at all for a few years. After Pat Chambers took over at PSU, he was willing to do a two-for-one and the series was resumed in 2012-13. However they have not played the last two years. Not sure if Chambers was nervous about Bucknell playing them evenly or simply that PSU doesn't want to play any more road games in Sojka. I imagine the series would continue if Bucknell were willing to be the road team every year.

Interesting that this is the first of a 3 game series after playing there last year. Hopefully this new 3 game series will include one in Worcester

Only if Milan Brown was still coaching at HC since Cooley and Milan are buddies! And they want a guaranteed win. (Sorry, couldn't help myself. ) Don't get your hopes up. I think we were in a weak bargaining position when this was set up. Maybe in the next 3 game series, it'll be a 2 for 1 in the new Hart?
