65-57 3:49 timeout. Stadium back on at least for me.
Benzan with a big turnover there. I consider a 5-10 guy driving down the lane with two big guys there to block his shot a turnover. Plus, no one to dish it off to if anyone was wondering. Tired of seeing that.

Ending the game with Le Sean-Butler-Niego-Faw at the 2-5 is a total disaster. Just not going to be able to defend and rebound with that group on the floor.
Two positives: -Le Sean’s unconscious stretch in the 2nd half -Scored 3 or 4 easy hoops out of timeouts which is a huge step up from the many times we have had poor shots, turnovers, or shot clock violations out of timeouts.
Aside from the Le Sean stretch putting the team on his back, just a total disaster. Floyd masks the many flaws on this team, and it is not a pretty sight without him on the floor.
On to Army-Navy for a much more enjoyable viewing experience!

Two points from Grandy/Floyd, not gonna win many games that way.
Caleb Green is playing phenomenal (16 pts, 8 assists), best point guard since Torey.

41-17 rebounding, nearly impossible to win with that discrepancy.

If we can defend inside the 3-point line, we should win this game. URI is a poor shooting team with a combined total of 4-38 (10.5%) on 3FGs in their two road games this year, and the DCU Center is not an easy place to shoot from the outside, so we should be able to hold them to a very low percentage on the perimeter. Our biggest issue is going to be keeping our best players matched up on their best players (Floyd on Langevine, Grandison on Dowtin, and Green on Fatts Russel) and out of foul trouble. If we get any of those guys in foul trouble, and/or end up with other players matched up against those 3 from URI, we could be in trouble. URI finishes 3-18 (16.7%) on 3FGs, but without Floyd as a factor we allowed them to shoot 65.7% on 2FGs (23-35) and get 13 rebounds on 27 missed shots for an outrageous 48.1%. Coming into the game, they shot 47.7% on 2 FGs and rebounded 34.1% of their misses. Langevine, Russell, and Dowtin scored 19, 19, and 18 on 51.5% shooting, including 66.7% on 2FGs. But we did have 18 assists on 23 FGs!

I really thought we would win this game after umass win. But this was a throwback to last year. No rebounders to be found. One URI trip down they had five chances! Five!! Without the Lesann burst , we lose by 25! Floyd gets outmatched by bigger and more athletic big men, but he is our best passer. Team cannot play benzen and green together, too small and Benzen slows the offense down, numerous shot clock rundowns and rush shots. Very disappointing today.

Carmody on post game said Floyd was hurt and told him he couldn't play. No details other than that.
What scares me a bit is the thought of no Floyd next year and what a huge void that will leave on this team unless they can land a Big with that last scholarship.

Did Floyd tell the Coach, or did Carmody tell Floyd that he could not play? Only heard the last ten minutes on car radio, and Carmody post-game. Lots of break-up in transmission, but thought Carmody said trainer had told him Floyd couldn't go.

Carmody seemed a bit surprised by Dick's perfectly logical question. I though I heard the coach say that the trainer told him JF was injured and couldn't play.

What is our free throw discrepancy for the season? Has to be one of the worst in nation. Holy Cross came into the game ranked 344th in FTA/G (13.0), while opponents have averaged 17.6 (90th). A chronic inability to get to the line is something many of Carmody's post-Princeton teams have exhibited

A chronic inability to get to the line is something many of Carmody's post-Princeton teams have exhibited I think those stats might be FT points/total points. Following today’s game, HC has gotten 13.6% of their points on FTs (#332 in the country), while opponents have gotten 20.1% of points on FTs (#121). The other stat that KenPom tracks is FTA/FGA. HC is at 22.9% (#337) and opponents are at 34.1% (#180). I disagree with the notion that a finesse approach like this puts us in a position to consistently compete with good teams.
