This team needs two wins this weekend. Otherwise, it could be stuck in the basement of AHA for the rest of the season.

Do we have a sense as to why the program struggles? Recruiting seems to be solid, but not sure how it compares to others

Lost 2-0. Hope the dumpster fire doesn’t spread to nearby buildings.

A total embarrassment.
Buyer’s remorse from Pine for not only hiring Berard, but then extending him?

Was certainly surprised with the extension, particularly in view of his lack of post season success (against league teams with the same recruiting advantages/disadvantages). However, it’s tough to make a judgment on this year’s performance since tonight was the first (and only) W since Nixon was injured. I realize he is only one of 20+ players on the team but, as most of us know, a good goaltender can make a huge difference in a low unit scoring game like hockey. IIRC, Montreal was in first place several years ago when Carey Price got hurt and then failed to make the playoffs with other netminders. Hopefully Gordon’s performance tonite helps the team to turn the corner and, with Nixon’s return, we’ll get a true gauge of this team’s potential.
Will be at USA Hockey Arena in my hometown on New Year’s Day to see the boys in action

If nothing else, Gordon is getting a lot of game experience that will hopefully serve him and the team well over the next couple of years. Giving up only 2 goals this weekend is a good sign. Now if we could just get that little black thing over that line a little more frequently.

bfoley82 Jack Hughes? Better for the Crusaders if he is off in a foreign land that day.
