The news is not good. But hopefully it leads to a nice opening for Clayton to come off the bench and drain some threeeeeeeeeeeeeees.

Marlon Hargis—ready for prime time?? Is he still in a boot?

Actually, it wasn't Hargis in the boot, it was DJ Hart - and he was out of it at the URI game. Might indeed be time to force feed Hargis a bit.

Will CLS get another chance to show what he can do? Will likely depend on how practice has gone. A couple of years ago he had a game similar to his URI performance. The next time out he had zero shots in 3 minutes

vs. Army. 9m, 5-6 (3-4), 13p vs. URI. 13m, 5-7 (3-5), 13p.
In the other forty-one games in which he's appeared during his career, he's scored a total of 33 points on 12-48 (6-26).

Canisius is 3-0 when its effective fg pctg is 53% or higher and 0-9 when it is 50% or lower. HC defense has held opponents to 49.1% eff fg pctg. I did not see a lot of other gee-whiz correlations for Canisius
Holy Cross is 6-1 when offensive rebound percentage is 20% or higher, 0-3 when 16% or lower. Canisius has held opponents under 22% only once this year and is #331 in opp off reb %
HC is 6-1 when turnover % is under 18% and 0-3 when it is 20% or higher. Canisius forces a lot of turnovers, at 23.2% Canisius is #31 in D-1
HC is 6-0 when its 2 point shooting is 54% or higher and 0-3 when it is 49% or lower. Canisius opponents have averaged 55% on twos (and 36.8% on threes)

Where is the Crossports pre-game luncheon??? Might try Herbie’s (where I’ve somehow never been) unless someone invites me somewhere fancy.

C’mon up to my house ‘92. I have a work call that end about noon then I’ll make the fanciest PBJ you’ve ever had. And if you ask real nice, I’ll dig into the back of the cabinet where, if you’re lucky, I’ll find the Fluff and make you a kickin’ Fluffernutter.

After watching the erratic play by the women today, a bit anxious as to what team will step on the court tomorrow.
What happens up front with rotations/match-ups given CN and possible JG injuries?
Seems like a must win tomorrow if we are going to put 20 plus on the board

Imo there are no must wins in a December OOC game, esp with at least one key injury

Seems like a must win tomorrow if we are going to put 20 plus on the board A PL title is the goal regardless of # of wins. "Must wins" are PL games that affect league tourney seeding, not an Dec OOC game that doesn't aid the goal as as hoops notes.

KenPom has us at 76% to beat Canisius.
We have 3 OOC games remaining. KenPom's odds calculate as follows
3 Wins= 32% probability 2 Wins= 48% 1 Win= 18% 0 Wins= 2%

Agree about ooc games being far less important than conference play and injuries matter to the approach. My comment was based on Math to get to 20 plus wins, and nothing more-following Brian Regan on Letterman
If you are evaluating a season and the body of work then all games play a role in that evaluation and when doing so the number of wins do matter

For those of us who have so much fun at work that we'll be skipping today's game, it would be appreciated if an attendee could post something about how Grandison looks. I think I saw it was a sprain, and that was a week ago, so hopefully he's close to 100 percent. Obviously Niego will be gone for a while

This one makes me a little nervous.
Canisius has one two in a row -- albeit against bad RMU and Elon teams -- and we are without Grandison and Niego this afternoon.
Need to find a way today.
