Massey makes Holy Cross a 6 point favorite (65-59) with a 66% chance for the win. The Cadets are currently 8-9 but are on 2 game wining streak with victories at home over Lafayette and Navy.

...two teams that beat us - I'll take the points in this one (although I'm not suggesting we'll lose on our home floor)

Up 44-32 with 3 minutes left in 3rd qtr - there is something going on with Manis - we're leading despite a terrible game from her - in 22 minutes she's 1 of 7 from the floor, 1 of 2 from the line for 3 points. She's not an all-league caliber player in the last month.

Lauren just scores inside and then has monster block on other end. Perhaps PL is trying to take her offense away.

Lauren just drove the baseline while tightly covered and passed, got the ball back, drove again while tightly covered and forced it up awkwardly. Of course the PL is going to try to shut down the leading scorer in the league. Faulkner's return will help give us more weapons.

HC clears the bench, Final 58-39, truly one of the ugliest wins I have ever seen, HC leading scorers Faulkner w/ 13, Swords 11 no one else in double figures. Manis 8 pts, 9 rebs

I expect more out of Lauren - she is just forcing so much offensively (3 of 12 tonight) and for a veteran player, that is surprising. AWP had a very tough offensive night, shooting 25% from the field (16 of 62). A concern might be that we had a significant size advantage but were outrebounded 43-29 (including 17 offensive rebs for AWP). That disparity will come back to bite us against the top teams.

Had the opportunity to watch on NESN tonight. Frequent buffering and the audio went in and out several times. That doesn't happen generally on NESN, which has the Red Sox and Bruins, so I will have to credit it to Stadium. NESN programming has resumed now and the audio/visual glitches have subsided.
It is a plus to have a network to show lower D-1 sports, though. Reminds me of when ESPN was a fledgling start up. Somehow I don't think Stadium will mirror their growth, but you never know.
Now the next game on NESN plus is beginning. It's a rerun of this morning's Binghamton vs UML school kids game. The on screen logo says NESN University, with no mention of Stadium, but the buffering glitches began immediately, so I will bet my bottom dollar - which is right next to my other dollar - it is a Stadium production.

19 point win at home. That's a good win in my book.

Any win by any Holy Cross team is both "good" and "unusual" lately.

Army shot 16/62; its starters 9/45. HC was better, but not by much. Looked more like D3 than D1.

Sure HC defense had something to do with that shooting percentage. As far as looking more like D3....every D3 school in America puts there games on the internet. Check one out. Slight difference.

Well, we can agree that the team has not played well on the road in the league and we're 3-4 with games at Bucknell and AU next. Unless Manis starts dominating again, I am not feeling good about these games and we really need one of them to stay within striking distance of the leaders.
