Women's Hockey Drops 6-0 Decision at No. 7 Boston College Holy Cross Athletics 02-01-2019 Print CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Holy Cross women’s hockey team lost to No. 7 Boston College, 6-0, Friday night. The Crusaders looked good in the first period, putting a decent amount of pressure on a stout Eagles defense and Maddy McArthur in net. Holy Cross had a number of quality chances in the frame, including one where Carlie Magier, with a defender closing in on either side, fired a shot at McArthur, got her own rebound and had another look on goal, but BC’s goalie was up to the task. Jada Brenon and the defense again looked strong in the first half of the second, turning away multiple good looks by the BC offense. The Eagles finally broke through in the second half of the period to add three more. Holy Cross only gave up one goal in the third with Julia Pelletier making 16 saves in the frame. goholycross.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=33100&ATCLID=211788838&_ga=2.33759201.1511264531.1548816555-2115407539.1518047861

No surprise...BC is the most “talented” team in the east and has been underperforming all season.

HC Women vs Vermont at the Hart on NESN now. Nice balance to blanket pre-Superbowl coverage on the sports channels. Close game (VT 2-0) and Crusaders look good.
