We are tied with RMU for 9th place and one point behind Army for 8th, so we have an opportunity to move up this weekend. RMU has been slumping and are only 1-9 since Jan 1st. 7pm tonight and an earlier start tmro at 5pm.

The athletic program — not facilities — is worse now than when Pine inherited them after Regan. It’s shocking that some thought he was a good AD.

The facilities are fine and the location is fabulous in the sense that a fan can hop on Interstate Rte. 90,190,290,495 or 395 and not face a stop sign or stop light until they get off at the College Square exit and have one light before heading up College St to the field, court, rink or track and parking for free.

Even going north on Rt. 146 is normally not bad when not under perpetual construction the last 5 or so years. Just have to watch the hairpin turns on McCarthy Lane.

Where are the press conferences from Berard after all these losses? If they are occurring none are being posted this year. It would be enlightening to hear the coach's assessments on this awful season. Is he being protected for some reason or just not making himself available.

Just tuned into NESN plus for the noon HC BB game. On now is BC at UMass hockey game. UMass scores to break a tie with 2.3 seconds left in the third. Loud crowd at Mullins Center on a Saturday morning for UMass record 22 wins in a season.
Let's hope this is somehow in HC's future, playing nationally meaningful hockey late in the season against strong traditional regional rivals. Both BC and UMass are only an hour away from HC and we have been playing both in something for a century.
How do we get there from here? I don't know but the next AD should have a solid plan and a track record that indicates he or she can get it done.

That game was on Friday night....UMass had a sell out and basically has had very few sellouts before this season.

UMass has become a hockey school since hoop is having another lousy year and the FB team still blows. Hockey coach Greg Carvel is very good and has killed it in recruiting. They are a legit national title contender. As to when HC will be regularly competing against schools that make geographic sense - stay tuned for the '20-'21 season.

Thanks, that makes sense it was a replay instead of a Saturday morning contest. I had a good friend who passed away in her 90s. The last couple of years her short term memory was shot and she watched the Red Sox replay on NESN and enjoyed it just as much as the original which she didn't remember seeing. 🙂

Here are the current standings. Games remaining in parens. I looked in the hope that we might be able to host in the first round. While that looks possible as we’re only two point out of 8th, our final four games are against the second and third place teams in the league and 3 of 4 are on the road. Amazing job by the AIC coach turning that program around.
1. AIC 35 (2)
2. Bentley 30 (4)
3. Air Force 27 (4)
4. RIT 27 (4)
5. Sacred Heart 26 (4)
6. Mercyhurst 25 (4)
7. Niagara 24 (3)
8. Army 21 (4)
9. Robert Morris 19 (4)
10. Holy Cross 19 (4)
11. Canisius 16 (3)

Let’s see if the current positive trend (9 of a possible 14 pts. in last 7 games) continues with Nixon back in the mix. He has a good save % and winning % in his limited action this yr.
